150 Watt 14000K Metal Halide Bulb - Phoenix, Double-Ended Information

A colorful assortment of fish, reefs, corals, plants and accessories make a beautiful aquarium, but it's the lighting that will bring out its true beauty. The wrong kind of fluorescent light just wouldn't do a beautiful aquarium enough justice, especially when you want your fish tank to serve as a form of decoration as well.

The 150-Watt 14000K Metal Halide Bulb - Phoenix, Double-Ended from Pet Store is an excellent choice for a fluorescent light. This bulb emits a soft, bluish white light that can be best used with saltwater. The tint brings out the richness of the colors of fish, reefs, corals, plants and other living aquatic creatures. When used with a lens that filters out UV rays, the harmful effects of such rays are greatly reduced, making the 150-Watt 14000K Metal Halide Bulb - Phoenix, Double-Ended completely safe for your pets.

Its intensity is sufficient enough to stimulate healthy growth but not too strong to bleach out lovely colors, unlike some other kinds of fluorescent lighting. Lastly, it comes in a variety of sizes, so that tanks with depth up to 30 inches can get the lighting they deserve. At the very affordable price it comes, it sure does make a very good deal!

This 150W 14000K bulb casts a crisp-white light with a blue tint. Great for bringing out the coloration of fish and corals while providing sufficient intensity for growth. An HQI, Pulse-Start or Electronic ballast is required. This bulb is offered at an excellent price and is a very good choice for reef tanks up to 18" deep.
  • 14,000K Color Temperature
  • Made in Japan
  • Excellent with or without actinic supplementation
  • Operate on a HQI metal halide ballast, pulse-start ballast or electronic ballast

Comments: from day one colors in the reef tank just were amazingly brighter. After a week corals were more awake, fuller. The Fish had more vivid color to them. The nice blue tint it gives the tank is very pleasing to the eye. My tank looks even better now.

Comments: Great bulbs! I have been using these bulbs for awhile and I like the colors they put out plus great par. Very intense initially. I always seem to want to try different bulbs but I always end up going back to the phoenix's. Best bang for your buck.
