"Just what I needed"
- Product Review by Constance Manrow
(Posted on 9/16/12)

Comments: The AquaticLife T5 HO Light Link Fixture provided the additional light that I needed for the manatee grass and macroalgae in my 20 gallon high pipefish tank that I keep near a northern exposure window. Installing the support legs, once I found them, was not a problem. I did not realize at first that the legs were packaged in a compartment at end of the box opposite of the end I first opened. It is easy for someone to believe they were not included. I am very happy with this great product though!

Comments: I bought this light hoping to use it as a frag tank light on a 7.5g tank and get away with having SPS all the way up. I have not had success with SPS frags even high up in the tank. Zoas/Duncans/Acans/Candys etc all have done very well under the light upon entering the frag tank. Would buy again if you do not care to have SPS.

Comments: I have this over my 20 gallon nano and it performs very well. It's lacking a few of the bells and whistles that the much more expensive models have but it works just fine for me.

"Great light"

Comments: This really brightens up the tank. The "blue" bulb is no longer blue like in the pictures, but covers the light range. Easy to put together.

"Awesome Light!"
- Product Review by Julius Padilla
(Posted on 2/6/12)

Comments: I am thoroughly pleased with this light. The color is perfect. As bright as it can be. I have it on my 10 gallon and it is perfect. The only thing I would change is adding a seperate switch for the blue bulb. Other than that, no complaints.

"Install Hell!"
- Product Review by Doug Smith
(Posted on 1/21/11)

Comments: First let me say that the guys at AquaticLife were really helpfull. They helped me solve my instalation of the frame legs after much conversation. It shouldn't have been nessesary though. All was fine until I tried to install the frame legs. The legs have at one end a metal bracket that will slide into a groove on the frame. However, the legs and the bracket are about the same color and screwed together, I couldn't even tell that they came apart! (I know, I know, I am a dufess). But it could have been clearer. The first guy on the phone had to turn me over to a second guy, who then told me to separate the parts and then attach the metal bracket first, then the leg. I then got it. Maybe the instructions could have been clearer on this point? Now that the light is up and running I like it almost as much as my Hagen GLO which I have also. I would recomment this product with the above reservations.

"Excellent light for the money"
- Product Review by Eric Delong
(Posted on 11/18/10)

Comments: If you're on a budget like me but need a decent light for a smaller tank, this one is it! Using this light on a Marineland 12 gal reef tank. The stock compact fluorescents on the Marineland hood were far inadequate for my tanks needs. Just one day after putting the AqauticLife T-5 light on my tank, EVERYTHING came alive. Now two weeks in and couldn't be happier with this product. Fish and corals are very active and popping with color. Only "downside" is now I have so much coralline growth that glass cleaning is somewhat of a chore...snails and urchin just can't keep:) The adjustable legs on this unit make it possible to fit it on tanks that have curved sides. I did have to remove one of the back legs to make it fit against the stock marineland filter, but the three remaining give it plenty of sturdiness and it still looks great. The 36watt light combo is the perfect amount for 12 gals. Corals at all levels in the tank (even SPS) and all are doing great.

"T5's Rock"
- Product Review by Don Simmons
(Posted on 10/12/10)

Comments: I recently got the 2x54 light fixture to replace a power compact that finally gave out. I have a 75 FOWLR and a few button polyps. These rock.....much brighter. Within 3 hours my polyps were fully extended. I wish this fixture had lunar lights like my last Current/Nova. I don't give it a five because of the absence of the lunar lights.

"Cheap and functional"
- Product Review by David Allison
(Posted on 8/11/10)

Comments: I bought this for my FOWLR. Obviously not a high out put fixture, but it is sturdy and has no fan. The only thing holding it back from 5 stars is how much of a pain it is to remove the splash guard - it requires you to remove the end caps with a screwdriver. The actinic it comes with is on the 460 side of the spectrum (bluer rather than purple).

"Great!"
- Product Review by Cherish Hockey
(Posted on 8/3/10)

Comments: I have a 90g FOWLR and recently purchased this fixture. I really liked the piece-together feature it offers and my intent was to buy two to cover the top of the tank. Now that it is on there, though, I really don't see the need to get the second one. The light quality is amazing and it illuminates the entire tank from top to bottom, side to side. I can't imagine a better value for your money!

"Solid"
- Product Review by Brad Welch
(Posted on 6/29/10)
-
Comments: Light seems fairly solid, really lights up the tank well. The only issue I have is more about the type of light, being raised above the tank, the cover glass needs to be kept clean or you get a lot of light bouncing off the cover of the aquarium. Again, not an issue with the product, just me being lazy. The light does come with a plastic cover over the bulbs- for the price, you can't go wrong!

"Great Light Fixture"
- Product Review by Tom Pelletier
(Posted on 2/3/10)
-
Comments: This 110W fixture replaced our original 30 watt lights. Aquarium colors are much more vibrant. There are no fans so it is very quiet and heat does not appear to be a problem. The old light was not the correct type for plants so we are now able to add different types of plants. My only complaint is that it looks funny sitting on legs high up above the aquarium.

"AquaticLife T5"
- Product Review by Stuart Fong
(Posted on 11/27/09)

Comments: Bought one 48" linkable unit with thoughts of adding additional one later for saltwater 100 gal, fish and live rock only tank. Incredible amount of light for just two 53 watt bulbs. Colors stand out great! One unit is all I will need until I get a taller tank. Previously had power compacts, too hot. Tried some LED panels off ebay. These were not durable and the color was way too soft. You get what you pay for. Had to suspend this Aquaticlife unit with suspension hardware (extra 29.99) due to configuation of aquarium openings. Additional advantage is that this unit with just two T5 bulbs does not run hot at all. Easy set up as well.
