Its bright as can be and the factory settings are perfect, other than i changed the starting time to my schedule. The only problem was that it came with one light thay was shattered.( obviously shipping people didnt read the stickers all over te box saying glass and fragile) I called Customer Service and they were nothing but helpful and replaced the light with no problem. Comments: Ships well packed, each bulb wraped on its own. Instructions clear and easy to understand. Timer is easy to program. Intagrated cooling fan is quiet and helps prolong bulb life. All around good light. I also own the 48" virson.

Comments: As most others have posted, this light system is very easy to set up. I have had it for about a week and love it so far. Of course, previously having a standard flourescent, this was a no brainer. I've already seen quite a bit of growth within the tank! For those on a budget I would say this is a great deal. Lastly, in regard to the LEDs it's simply preference...personally I like them, though I only have them on for a few hours a night so the fish can really recuperate from daily activities :)

Comments: I have had this product now for five months. Out of the box it was a great find and seemed well worth the money. Easy to program and the lighting could even be descrbed as spectacular. Howeever, I have had what seems to be two light failures, one of each spectrum. Don't know if it is a 'cheep bulb issue' or a fixture issue at this point. So, if looking at this light, do some more research and proceed w/ caution.

Comments: This light does what you want your light to do. Supplies ample amount of light to your aquarium, easy to use and very well built. I'd recommend this to any other beginner for its ease of use. The timer gives you piece of mind and with only one power cord limits the hassle of additional cords to the numerous ones most set ups already involve.

Comments: The light completely covers my 100 gallon 59" wide tank. I especially enjoy the lunar LEDs. The preprogrammed schedule also works well.

Comments: The light is working great and it is bright enough that I do not need any additional lighting. It took about 30 min to unpack and get setup. You have to remove a lot of plastic protecting the light which takes quite a bit of the time. I have had the light for a little more than a week now and have been making little adjustments to the timers so that my fish are not startled awake. The final bonus for me is the single power cord on this unit. I have quite a few cords already and I previously owned a light that had three cords which was only a hassle.

Comments: I have a 75-gallon reef tank, and my old light setup with a very hot VHO fixture, and an equally hot square pin compact flourescent wasn't cutting it. The tank didn't look it's best, the lights were way too hot, and I can only assume they sucked energy like nothing I've seen before. I decided after careful research to purchase this AquaticLife T5 HO fixture. I am blown away with not only the quality, but the features and fuctions. 3 built in timers for each White, Blue and LED lights? One power cord? 3 (quiet) fans? I couldn't be happier with my decision to upgrade. For the price, you won't find a better light fixture. Did I mention ONE cord? My old VHO fixture had 5 cords! My compact fluorescent had 3. To go from 8, down to 1, along with getting rid of my old fashioned clock style timers, has been a dream. No external balasts. No external timers. No tangle of cords. I have room in my cabinet now. But this fixture, and you'll wonder what took you so long to upgrade!

Comments: Purchased this fixture exactly one year to the date. Only problems I had were that 1 LED on the lunar lights burnt out (no biggie) but a ballast went bad the other day and my whites wouldn't come on. I emailed Aquaticlife about the white lights and they sent out another ballast replacement the same day. Later on that day I remembered that the LEDs where burnt out so I contacted Aquaticlife again and they had to send out the replacement in a separate package (completely my fault, had I told them at the same time it would have saved them the cost of shipping to me twice).
<br />Look no further, for the price these lights they are great, especially since, Aquaticlife definitely stands behind their products should anything go wrong.

Comments: Good light at an affordable price with only one cord. Awesome!!! The cons though are that the factory lights color temp is on the yellow side, and the legs are a little on the short side. I'll be changing the bulbs when it comes time to replace these factory bulbs, but the short legs I am going to have to deal with for now. Still a great fixture.

Comments: This light is of great. The timer is easy to program and gives you good flexibility on setting up your lighting schedule. The case is well built out of aluminum and looks like it will hold up well. One minor complaint that I have is that the T5 lights seem to have a very high start up current draw. I had the light in my GFCI outlet for the tank and every time the lights kicked on the outlet would trip. This may be inherent to T5 light systems in general as this is the first set that I have had. However, I did have a single metal halide light in that outlet before with no problems. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for this type of setup.

Comments: The light frame is 60 inches as it says, but the bulbs are only 48 inches. Having said that, it does a great job. I've got it over my 160 gal tank with an artificial reef. I've got it in a hood and the fans are quiet and heat is not a problem. The timers work fine. The T5 lighting brings out all the colors and the moonlights are great at night. I replaced my metal lights with this unit and have to say it looks much better.

Comments: I have had the AquaticLife T5 4-Bulb fixture for over a month now. This product comes pre-programmed but is very easy to re-program (which I did). This is an excellent product (very quiet, an excellent amount of light, and quality built). My fish and coral are thriving. I highly recommend it and I would purchase this item again.

Comments: When I finally did receive this fixture, one of the slider for the pegs had its thread totally gone!! I couldn't even put the screw in it. Called aquatic life regarding the issue and would send me a new slider, a week later I'm still w/o a slider and have now waiter almost a month to have my fixture up and running, and still waiting!! Also, I noticed that the night time LED would flicker a few times. Not sure if this is something normal, but highly doubt it. I wish they gave you the option to choose your type of light combo. The good; the LED night time lights really give your coral a different look. The timer is very easy to use and convenient... I still havent used this light after a month of purchase, but this is what I've noticed thus far, hope everything gets better from here.

Comments: I have had the lights for only a few days now but I have to say being a fan of "lunar" lighting in tanks these are definitely the lights for me. Other reviews said they are too bright but I would disagree they are perfect. Spreads the glow evenly throughout the tank! Being able to independently adjust the times on all 3 of the types all in one control panel is also a nice perk

Comments: Only had the light for a week or two but so far so good.It shipped fast and needed hardly any assembly. My boyfriend attached the legs but if I didnt have him I think I could have figured it out. It didnt really come with directions though and the CD it cam with did not explain the leg attachment. One of the legs did not fit right, the screw was to short or something so my boyfriend had to use a different screw and it gave him a little trouble but we made it work. Im going to call Aquatic life and ask for a replacment leg.
<br />One thing I want to say is that I upgraded from PC's and most of the reviews that I read said that people just "plugged and played" this light with no trouble. Meaning they kept the stock lighting schedule that the light is programmed with. I think people should not listin to these reviews and adjust the light to meet their tanks needs. Personally the light started to bleach my corals so acclimation is a must for my tank. Im starting at a 5 hour light period ands working up over a month. Also I do not keep my moonlights on all night. I feel like the fish need rest too. SO I encourage people to do their own researxh on lighting schedules and adjust accordingly.
<br />This light is SUPER quiet and Im very very picky about noise so Im super stoaked on how quiet my living room is now. I think the color spectrum is too white/blue and plan on changing the bulbs next year to a warmer color. This is a great light so far and I would reccomend it. My corals seem very very happy!

Comments: Just received my light fixture last week, and I absolutely love it. It is so bright and makes everything pop with color. I like the moon lights also. I really like the different stages of light it has to offer. It was so easy to put together. All I had to do was put the legs on it and adjust them to the size of my tank. It is so nice to have it already pre-programmed also. Just had to set the time of day and the rest was already set for me. Great product.

Comments: I'm pretty happy with this lighting system to date. The lights are the best I have ever owned. My clams and corals are very happy. How my corals glow under the moon light is really cool. What I don't care for is the lights rest 4" above my tank and when seated I get blinded by them. If I was the manufacture I would design a skirt. I'll solve this problem myself by creating special mounting brackets in my hood so I can enclose the lighting unit from the front and both sides. I'll design these brackets in my hood so they will also help solve my biggest concern of rust and corrosion. The unit isn't sealed very well and experience tells me it will start to deteriorate overtime from exposer to saltwater. So the brackets I design for my hood will attempt to prevent mositure from entering the unit from both ends. Hopefully these changes won't effect the units ability to cool itself by the restriction airflow. I would recommend these lights to all my friends.

<br />As for the quality of the light, it is good in some areas and poor in others. The bulb holders/connections are poor quality and fall out if the bulbs are not in place. the case and the timer are great. It also seems to put off pretty good light for only 2 daylights and 2 actinics.

Comments: I purchased the 20" lamp for my 20 gallon planted freshwater aquarium. This is my first attempt at "real" plants so I was wanted to make sure that I had good lighting. My aquarium is acrylic and has a canopy hood. I decided not to install the legs because of the canopy and since the top of my tank is pretty much enclosed with the exception of a few openings for the filter and performing maintenance, I was able to place the lamp directly on top of the aquarium. Luckily, there is a acrylic type clear cover shield that protects the bulbs from moisture. So far so good, my plants are thriving and growing well.

Comments: I'm a new reefer, and, as many of you could relate to, being new means confusion at every turn, lighting was on of them. My friend suggested this fixture to me and i decided to try it out. It NEVER ONCE let me down. better than i expected, lighted my tank up perfectly. The timer is great I never have to worry about it, fish love it. Controlling every type of light with only one cord has saved me a lot of hassle. I have had this for nearly 8 months, hasn't let me down;
<br />Pros: Feature rich, organized and easy to control, powerful, cool (mot of the heat is channeled away from the water out off the top of the heat conductive casing, worry free!
<br />Cons: leds are a bit bright (nothing a piece of electrical tape wouldn't fix! the splash guard needs to be washed frequently.
<br />If you worry about lots of cords and timers then you should get this, the lighting is great, just make sure you put the bulbs in the right fixture (10ks vs actinc) or it will be controlled on the wrong cycle

Comments: I received the lights on a time and in perfect condition. The light has a preprogrammed setting which from what I've read is as accurate as any other system out there. I'm using the preprogrammed settings and I'm extremely pleased with the accuracy and ease of use. I was concerned about the legs on it shifting around especially with having a cat in the house, but these legs are phenomenal they adjust really easy and tighten in place hanging over the side just enough to hold if in place. Awesome product.....

I unpacked the lights, attached the leg rest, plugged the lights up, and set the time. The automatic light program took over from there. Love It! You can customize the light using the program, but that was not me. By the way, the lights program does not lose the time even when you unplug and plug the light back into the power strip it keeps the time and the program continue on. Sweet!!

Comments: Lighter than the NOVA Extreme and appears to be built better, plus I love the built in timer where you can program three different lighting zones. Also, having only one cord is great. Was not crazy about the white lights included, so am replacing those with some others I had in my other fixture.

<br />On the negative side, the frame mounts are not designed well both from installation point and ongoing use. In installation I was unable to get one of the screws to bite in the receiving flange. I had to request a new set of frame mounts. AquaticLife happily obliged. The frame mounts really do not provide a solid footing, once installed.

<br />Also - a word of caution relative to size of fitting. I have a standard 55 gal tank. With this fixture installed, there is not even enough room left for me to reach my arm into tank without removing fixture.

Comments: After months of looking and reading this is the best by far. Ebay sells chinese knock offs. The timer is great. One power cord. My corals are loving life. After reading about LED lights and seeing that you must hang over tank this one is way better.

Comments: Ive had this light installed on my 36-gal bowfront tank for about a week now. It was super easy to put together and program. I LOVE having only one powercord and that, to me, is worth extra money. I am a little concerned that the brightness is shocking my one coral (Xenia) going from a single actinic CF bulb to this light but we'll see what happens. It makes the colors of my fish and rocks burst and the moonlights are great for relaxing to at night.

Comments: I have the 36" on my 65g, and it is GREAT! LOVE the all in one timer and ONE plug! If the power goes out, the timer keeps its memory also, no having to re-set! So far we only have soft corals and they are growing GREAT. Its been several months and they are keeping their color well also. It fit perfectly in the hood my hubby made, we didn't even have to use the legs because it fits right on the hood supports firmly. He did however have to drill holes in the hood to allow the heat to escape. (the back half of the hood is open) I think at the one year point we are going to try some different actinics, such as Giesmann Aqua Blue plus.

Comments: Fixture came quickly and undamaged. Shipping was fast and the packaging was amazing. Set up was a breeze. Timers were preset out of the box, plugged it in and set the time and it was good to go. Even if they weren't set, the instructions were straight forward enough to easily set your own schedule.

<br />I don't have anything bad to say, although I will post another review 6-9 months from now with an update. Couple of initial things though...
<br />1) Be weary of using this fixture with the mounting legs atop a bow front tank or any other tank with short depth (depth in terms of footprint, not water volume). Since there are four lamps, this fixture is pretty deep. I have a 26 gallon bow front and the legs just barely span the frame, reaching right up to where the bow begins. It's actually a perfect fit, pretty awesome.

<br />2) Daytime lamps are a little weak, about 10,000k. You could probably replace them with 24w 15,000k's and have a lot more light.

<br />Overall AWESOME fixture for the price and easy of use.

Comments: Second day into operation, one of the ballasts went out for whatever reason. Had to switch the bulb arrangement to operate one each of the 10k and actinic bulbs. I called aquatic life and they had me check all the connections, which were tight. A new ballast is on the way and customer service was great. These things will happen at times so I'm not to concerned. Packaging was superb, took me 5 minutes with a box knife to get the light out and it's a nice looking light. The fans, atleast to me are quiet enough, almost negligable and the timer is very simple to set up. As far as performance, I'll revise later when the light is fully operational and I've ran it for a couple weeks but even with just two lamps running now, im expecting excellent results.

Comments: I upgraded from the stock lighting of an RSM 130D. The stock lighting in this is not as bright and is more yellow lighting. I do plan on changing out the bulbs, and is the reason why I bought this light. So far, haven't seen too much of a difference in my corals, but it may be too soon.

<br />One thing though: This light now has *4* LED lights! not two. And in my opinion are way too bright to run as moon lights. Therefore, I do not run moon lights anymore.

<br />It doesn't get hot at all. And there is no need for a fan, which is a great move from what I previously had.

<br />I'm hoping with the flexibility of changing out bulbs I'll be happier. I was expecting more out of this light though.

Comments: Never had a problem out of this except for my LED Light, one of them started to go out the first month but that wouldn't be marine's fault. This provide enough light for my 30 Gallon tank, that now has almost 6 soft corals, growth of purple algae throughout my tank. This light is powerful enough for any type of plants or corals you throw at it. At least for my 30gallon tank. :)

Comments: Just received this light today and wasn't sure quiet what to expect. The pictures don't do this light justice. It's made of all metal except the plexiglass light cover and legs, it has a good solid weight to it, not cheap and flimsy at all. The built in timer comes preset, I think I'll keep the preset times, it seems like a good setting. It came packed well and as a testament to their packaging, I dropped it as soon as I received it and nothing broke, not even the bulbs.

Comments: Replaced 750w of MH with T5, 72 inch model. More light, much cooler, and I would expect much lower electric bill. Very surprised at light level at the sand, much brighter than MH. Only problem was one of legs, metal plate stripped, called customer service and problem was resolved immediately with replacement sent overnight. The ability to program the white, blue and leds individually is great, highly recommend!

Comments: Great light. I bought 2 24" lights one for my nano and one for my 35 gallon and they both work well. The first one had big problems and didnt work at first. I had to keep messing with it to make it work by plug and repluging it back in. Customer service was a big help. Once it got started there have been no problems and corals are growing very well. I only gave it 4 stars because of the problems I had with the first one. The second started right up with no problems with programing. I am currently saving to buy the 48" light for my 75 gallon

Comments: As we all know, nothing in this hobby is "cheap", well, "inexpensive" is a better word. Though this light does not fall into either, it is still worth the money that you plunk down for it. The simple controls and a single plug are enough to make it worth the cost. But the construction and the performance are superior as well. The light this throws into my 6" tank is awesome! I only hope I can still say that 4 years from now. I suspect that I will.

Comments: I love the AquaticLife lights style. They have super bright LEDs and I love the built in digital time. This light has the 8 single bulbs instead of the 4 dual bulbs. Also has vent fans.

Comments: Not only was this light very economical in price, but it was a breeze to set up. The timers were already set correctly, all I had to do was set the time, turn on daylight savings time and go.

Comments: I have a 44 gallon deep corner tank, this light perked my corals right up! It simulates dawn, day, dusk, and lunar lighting out of the box, and with only one cord! I only have to touch it to do water changes. If you want great corals this light is a must.

Comments: This is an overall great lamp; however, after 4 months my LEDs are going out, and I can't figure out how to replace them. I've noticed other reviewers having the same problem. LEDs are supposed to last a really long time.

Comments: I like the new light but the initial set up seemed cumbersome give the small size of the bulbs and the need to take off both side panels to remove the packing material. Also, the lack of written directions was a pain and it would have been more convenient to have diagrams and instructions in front of me in written format as I was getting started. The quality of light is very good and the timer is very accessible.

Comments: It is a wonderful light with good stock bulbs. It has been a great light for LPS and Softies I haven't tried an sps or clams, but I do love the timer, it wakes my lighting schedule a breeze. Also, I dropped my light in the water, and AquaticLife got it fixed for me in under a week. I have had it for several months now, and could not be happier. Their Customer service is excellent.

Comments: I love my lights, the timer was very easy to program and my aquarium came to life. I highly recommend this product and will keep buying from here on all of my large price items.I called Aquatic life because I did not get an instruction book with the light. They were great, told me to go online and complete instructions were there including a link to you tube videos explaining everything.I just wish I would have purchased the kit to hang my light from the ceiling. My next order will include this kit.

Comments: there is no other fixture on the market today as easy to use as this one. just plug it in and let it go, for most tanks the preset times on the timer will work just fine. and if you have any problems with your fixture aquaticlife has the best customer service i have ever encountered. the only problem i have found so far is that the legs you get with the fixture are a little to tall and that makes the fixture set to high, but this is only a matter of opinion.

Comments: An excellent fixture, much better than my old CF lights and the timer is super convenient. Not impressed with the LED moonlights however, after six months of use, only two out of the eight LEDs are working correctly. One is completely out, and the other five are in various stages of being dim and or dying. Maybe there's a loose wire or something (since there's really only one LED out, and the rest are getting power). I'll have to open her up and check it out. Anyway, I'll knock a star off, otherwise, this is a great setup and I would buy it again. I wouldn't let my review scare you away, I think I just got unlucky.

Comments: I really like that you can plug it in , set the clock and your done, don't need to set timer. Easy set up. I didn't like the paper on the glass it was hard to get off.

Comments: Light is the best in it's class for the price actinics are a little too blue , luner lights are the best part of this light. 2 lights were broken in shipment but were replaced right away. Best light money can buy hands down . Suggestion to change the blue actinics to violet

Comments: This really cleaned up the look of my aquarium. The corals perked up immediately. One bulb broke in shippment. Customer service took immediate care of the problem. Excellent service.

Comments: I did a lot of research before settling on this light. As others have indicated, the great part is the built-in timer, very easy to set and use, one cord. The blue night LED's are great with beautiful shimmering. VERY powerful lights, about 2x the light my previous compact fluorescent lights put out (although they were several years old). Appears to be very well designed reflectors and solid housing. Fans are nice and quiet, yet are moving air nicely. My only caveat is that it is quite wide (10+"), and covers almost all of my 55 gal tank, which is fine, but just was bigger than I had imagined. Also, the mounting legs do block my opening of my flip open glass cover, so may need to modify a bit to feed the fish.
<br />Overall awesome light. Fish and corals love it already, although some of them have put on some sunglasses!

Comments: I had a no-name 60" PC light fixture for the last 12 years. The ballast blew, so I started looking for a replacement fixture. This is about the ONLY 60" light I could find. I love the T5 lighting. The night LEDs are amazing. Don't hesitate on purchasing this fixture. Super quiet fans. Can't hardly tell their on. Much cooler than the PC's.My chiller never turns on anymore.

Comments: I just got started in Salt Water Aquariums and this is my first T-5 light. Several people, with experience, tell me that is it perfect for my 90 gallon tank. The best thing is the single cord. That, combined with the easy use of the timers, make this a truly great buy. Cool to the touch and three very quiet fans keep the tank from temperature swings.

Comments: the lights are pretty cool, moon lights look awesome, but the timer doesnt show the second minutes digit, i only can see 9:2 i dont know if is 9:20, or 9:29, and also, the timer doesnt show if each light is ON, AUTO or OFF
