Purple-Up™
Purple-Up™ is a new pink and purple coralline algae accelerator. Since Purple-Up™ is not a fertilizer, it does not promote the growth of nuisance algae. How does it work? Purple-Up™ uses a unique dual method approach to coralline algae acceleration. It contains ionic calcium which immediately raises dissolved calcium levels in your aquarium water. At the same time Super Sea Calcium™ (a 10 micron aragonite powder derived from natural seawater) targets the live rock surface. Super Sea Calcium™ dissolves in situ; delivering calcium, strontium, magnesium, and carbonate right where it’s needed. Purple-Up™ also replenishes iodine; an essential element for coralline algae tissues that quickly becomes depleted in closed systems. Purple-Up™ is an excellent addition to any aquarium with stony corals too! One bottle of Purple-Up™ replaces the typical multi product recipe for successful coralline algae growth favored by advanced aquarists.

I have used this product for well over a year. It did a great job helping to establish coraline algae in my tank. I now use it every 2-3 days just to maintain the coraline algae I do have and help it keep its vibrant color.

i've been using this product for over a year now. i have a 55 gallon mixed reef tank. i started out with very little coralline algae and dosing this product daily (give or take--sometimes i miss days)produced great looking live rock within 6-8 months. the coralline began growing on the tank walls, and back. although i've yet to produce a full coralline covered tank back, there is a good amount of pink and purple coralline to be seen.
i also recommend keeping your phosphate levels in check with a reactor.

I've used Purple Up for many years because it really works to keep my calcium etc levels up and makemy pink and purple coralline algae grow and crowd out the green algase

clouds the water for a few hours but clears up. have been using and notice more purple algae the second day. Best to add at night and will not notice the cloudy water in am.

Started a new tank 2 months ago with about 20 pcs of live rock, 4 pcs were already purple. Started adding CaribSea Purple Up about 8 days ago and it does help. I can see the difference in the last few days. But like the bottle states you need some purple in there to start with, maybe thats why some people dont see the change.
