If you have a reef aquarium or if you have an aquarium setup that is stocked with very sensitive fish, you probably have come across the term ORP before. ORP stands for oxidation reduction potential. In layman's terms, ORP is a measure of how clean the water is. It also is a measure of the water's ability to break down contaminants in the water. Normally the range of ORP could be from negative 2000 to positive 2000 and ORP units are measured in millivolts.
It is a key factor in determining how healthy your aquarium water is. It is not very easy to measure. It definitely cannot be measured optically just by looking at your tank. There are specialized probes and equipment that have parts that are sensitive to ORP, which give you a digital or electronic reading. One of these is Digital Aquatics ORP Probe with Calibration Packets from Pet Store. This unit is manufactured by Digital Aquatics, which is quite renowned for aquarium electronic equipment.
This probe is very flexible because you can measure depths of up to 6 feet or 2 meters. Not only will you be able to see how healthy your water is, you get the reading and compare it against the chart, but it also comes with calibration packet. If you want less guess work regarding the health of your aquarium water, invest in Digital Aquatics ORP Probe with Calibration Packets today.

Digital Aquatics Aquarium Supplies
Digital Aquatics was founded in 2004 and has quickly become the most recognized name in aquarium automation. Since the company debuted the original ReefKeeper 1 (now known as the RK1) in 2004, they have gone on to create some of the most flexible, innovative and cost effective aquarium controllers on the market. The revolutionary ReefKeeper Elite (RKE) was unveiled in 2008 and the affordable ReefKeeper Lite (RKL) came out shortly thereafter to appeal to more budget-conscience aquarium hobbyists. In 2010, Digital Aquatics released a reptile version, the HerpKeeper, as well as the aptly named PondKeeper. ReefKeeper controllers simplify aquarium keeping duties by monitoring and controlling a variety of water parameters and equipment including but not limited to lighting, water flow, heating, cooling, pH and ORP.

Nothing more to say than it works as advertized. Really enjoy the Digital Aquatics RKL. it gives me the ability to monitor and control nearly all the equipment associated with my tank. no more reaching under the tank to unplug the skimmer, auto top off, pumps etc. during maintenance. i simply use the RKL controller to turn off the desired piece and get to work.

This is better than pinpoint because u can calibrate it. Comes in handy to match it to your water's temp.
It comes pre-calibrated at 400mv at 77 degrees. I'm sure pinpoint is the same
Best for price and integrates well sit digi-aqua controller RKL
