Manufacturer Info

Digital Aquatics Aquarium Supplies
Digital Aquatics was founded in 2004 and has quickly become the most recognized name in aquarium automation. Since the company debuted the original ReefKeeper 1 (now known as the RK1) in 2004, they have gone on to create some of the most flexible, innovative and cost effective aquarium controllers on the market. The revolutionary ReefKeeper Elite (RKE) was unveiled in 2008 and the affordable ReefKeeper Lite (RKL) came out shortly thereafter to appeal to more budget-conscience aquarium hobbyists. In 2010, Digital Aquatics released a reptile version, the HerpKeeper, as well as the aptly named PondKeeper. ReefKeeper controllers simplify aquarium keeping duties by monitoring and controlling a variety of water parameters and equipment including but not limited to lighting, water flow, heating, cooling, pH and ORP.

Comments: I finally got the Reefkeeper lite up and running , I did have to calibrate the probes, twice, the alc module that controls the JBJ Unibody Light , it was confusing, I wasnt happy about the fact I had to do research on the Internet , in order to program the RKL, I found this very tedious , and stressful, DA should at least send a DVD or a printed manual , to help me Program the unit anyway, after all of that everything works well except the alc module thereare some issues with the unit to be resolved

Comments: Honestly, it is a little expensive. However, an easy to use tool I wish it had more functions. For example, one can program one's LED's to ramp up and down, but there is no function to simply turn them on or off in addition to their 'ramping program'. This is a major problem. Consider it is 3am and you need your white LED's on; there is no easy way to simply turn them on! You must await your day cycle to kick in. For this inconvenience coupled with the price I give the controller a 3
