Overall the pump works fairly well for the price, but I have only had it for a few weeks.
It does have a habit of moving a little more than I would have liked, causing it to touch items stored under the tank.

Needing an inexpensive air pump for my daughters mini goldfish tank. This pump is quiet, and has variable output via the built in rheostat. Works perfect for this application. Shipping was very quick.

Powerful and Quiet

This product was as advertised, powerful and fairly quiet. It does make some noise like any air pump will, but it's easily drowned out by the computer fans in the office. My only complaint is that it may be a little too strong for my small tank, as it overpowers one of the bubble decorations I have, and the control valve doesn't seem to actually decrease the airflow very much. The fact that it has a semi-functional control valve at all is a nice feature, but this little guy is better used for multiple small decorations or a large bubble wand. Overall, I am very satisfied with its performance.

I have three of these in use in 300 gallon tanks used for aquaponics. They are reliable and have shown no problems. The air flow is adjustable. The unit will make noise if it is not sitting level, but that is easily fixed. I am completely satisfied and recommend the Dolphin P-1 Air Pump without reservation.

I installed the pump yesterday, and it is not as quiet as I had hoped. My 6-year old cheapie pump I bought at Petco is quieter. I am a disappointed....

The pump is quiet, actually more quiet than Rena and Whisper pumps. I have a 40 gallon tank and am running (2) 4x4 sponge filters. This pump was not strong enough to operate both efficiently, so I returned it for the Dolphin Two Star. Will report on that one after I receive it.

Works great, does what it's suppose to and is not very loud...what else can you want from an air pump. Two outlets on a small pump was definitely a plus as well.
