Flippers unique design maintains an upright orientation at all times for easy retrieval.

Flipper is made with the strongest rare earth magnets optimized for fresh or saltwater aquariums up to 1/2" (12mm) in thickness.

Each Flipper comes with 2 blades!
One stainless steel blade to be used on Glass tanks only
AND an ABS blade for use on Acrylic tanks!

It is the ONLY magnetic aquarium cleaner that does it ALL!!!

FAQ

1) Is Flipping difficult?
Flipping is Easy once you know how, but it does require you to follow the instructions.
Flip in areas with low water currents and near the top of the tank where you have room to flip away from your rocks.

2) What is the maximum tank thickness Flipper can be used on?
Flipper can be used on glass or acrylic tanks up to 12mm (1/2") thickness.

3) Will the metal blades rust and how long do they last?
Metal blades are made with 316 stainless steel which is highly corrosion resistent. You can leave the Flipper in your tank and the blade should last for months depending on your use.

4) Does Flipper work on bowfront tanks?
Yes!

5) Is Flipper the same as a Mag-Flip?
No. Mag-Flip was made by another company using FL!PPER`s patent license.
Many months were spent perfecting the FL!PPER with stronger magnets, stainless steel blade and a more efficient scrubbing pad.

Comments: Received Flipper for usage with a new tank. Haven't had to use the scraper yet but the pad side cleans very well on 5/8 inch aquarium glass. Movement around corners is a snap. Getting the flipper to flip sides (pad to scraper and back) takes a small bit of practice but it becomes easy within a few tries. You need to be careful to not interfere with other magnetic things in tank (thermometer, circulation fans, etc.) as the magnet is pretty strong. I recommend removing Flipper from tank and cleaning (and drying) after each use. Pricey, but I think it will prove to be worth it.

Comments: I was a little skeptical whether this would work well but it works great! Scrapes the excess Coraline algae off well, and flip it over and it does a great job removing any film buildup on the glass too.

Comments: The magnet did not seem as powerful as that other floating brand, however it was plenty of force and cleans so much better. Scrapper allows you to reach the algae line behind the frame. I regret not owning this device sooner!

Comments: Ordered this great tool for my 55 Gal saltwater tank. I must say I am impressed by this scraper 110%. It exceeded all my expectations. I can't even say anything negative or something they should as to it. I had hard tough algae and it took care of it in seconds.

Comments: I'm very happy with the way the Flipper works. I haven't had much luck getting it to flip, but not a big deal to me. I love the fact that the inside half floats to the top when accidently seperated making it very easy to retrieve, and minimizes the chance of damaging a coral. This cleaner is also very thin, I am able to clean areas with the Flipper that I coudn't reach using a hand held scraper. The pad side doesn't seem very effective on my algae, but the scraper blade works great. I would have awarded 5 stars except that it doesn't appear that the stainless steel blade is available seperately as a refill item.

Comments: This has to be one of the best purchases I've made for tank maintenance in awhile! I had to resort to razor blades and wet sleeves to scrap coraline from the bottom of my 120. The flipper mows right through. I do have some really tough build up I had to work at, but most came off with one pass. Highly recommend!

It will scratch acrylic

Comments: This scraper is not acrylic safe despite the claims to the contrary. It scratched the bejesus out of my 180 gal tank. The problem is not the blade, which appears to be acrylic safe, it is the two white plastic nobs on the wet half of the scraper that eventually start leaving very fine scratches on the inside of the tank. It took me a while to figure out what part of the scraper was doing the damage. Initially I blamed the blade. But after some experimentation I determined the cause. It seemed to have worked fine initially but then the nobs got abrasive. Soaking the scraper in mild acid to remove any possible calcium deposits did not help. So be forewarned.

very weak magnet

Comments: I bought this specifically for using the plastic blade on calcareous algae in an acrylic tank. Compared with a Mag-float, the Flipper magnets are very weak. The plastic blade is somewhat sharp, so you do get some partial removal of calcareous algae even with the weak magnets. The weak magnets and small size actually make it easier than a Mag-float to maneuver into tight spaces.
