Hydor Mini Aquarium Heater 7.5 Watt for tanks up to 5 gallons
Information
Aquariums, regardless of size, need to have their temperature regulated with heaters to ensure the health of the fish and other aquatic creatures living in them. However, a lot of heaters are designed to heat up bigger aquariums. They are not suitable for smaller fish tanks. You have to find a heater with the appropriate size, but you don't have to look far. There's the Hydor Mini Aquarium Heater that's just the perfect fit for aquariums that hold five gallons or less.
The Hydor Mini Aquarium Heater from Pet Store is small enough to be used for mini-fish bowls and mini-tanks. Because of its size, it can be hidden easily even in smaller aquariums. It can be fully submersed, and if that's not enough, it can be even buried underneath the gravel. Installation will not be a problem because of its simple and minimalist design. This heater can also be left to run dry without causing damage or getting damaged. It can be used for tanks made of acrylic or glass. It's very versatile, indeed!
The Hydor Mini Aquarium Heater uses up only 7.5 watts to raise the temperature by 4 degrees Fahrenheit. That should hardly make a dent in your monthly electricity bills!

I have a salt water mini marine tank. During winter it was difficult keeping a steady temperature in my half gallon tank but ever since I bought this life has been thriving in my tank.

I bought 3 heaters for my 3 Betta fish and they work wonderfully - the temp stays at about 78 degrees F and the fish love them. Much more active and happy with the heaters. They have the suction cup with holds the cord to the glass and the flat heater slides easily under the rocks-you barely notice the cord hanging off the side of the bowls, especially with the fake plants and logs, etc. to hide the cord. I would definitely recommend these to everyone and now I wish I could "rescue" all the poor Bettas who are forced to live in room-temps with no heater.

This worked great to warm up our 1 gallon fish bowl. Our Beta was acting lifeless and barely ate anything, but now he is back to his normal self.... swimming and chowing down the food. We live in a mtn ski town and keep the heater turned down during the day and this solved the cold fish bowl problem very easily. The only thing is that it definitely isn't very attractive hanging out of the bowl. But function over fashion wins again.

I sent it back because I was afraid my tank would get too hot and kill my fish. It is only a gallon tank. Thought it would be better to get one with a thermotat.

This product does exactly as described. I'm using it in a 3 gallon tank for a Beta. Avg room temp is 68. It brings the tank water temp to around 74-76. The fish is much more active, I think he likes the warmer temp. Very simple to use. Highly recommend this product.

We have a 1 1/2 gallon acrylic aquarium for our single beta fish. The heater is small enough that I was able to bury it under the gravel in the tank. We seem to have a happier, more active fish now that he is residing in a warmer environment. So far...so good.

This heater is a hit! My beta was getting sluggish as the weather turned colder. After putting in the heater, he's much happier and back to building bubble nests. I have a 2 gallon tank for him, and sometimes I'll catch him basking by the heater. It was painless to put in and does the job.
