Comments: i have been running this a few months now, and can highly recommend it. this is a very good skimmer for the most part. the only issue i have found is that the way the collection cup just wedges on top can leak if you dont seat it well. other than that, it adjusts easy with the turn of a lever, and it produces nice, dark skimate.

Comments: I've had this skimmer running in my 70G tank for just over 5 weeks now and I have to say that for the money, this is the best dough I've spent. I previously was using a Tunze9015 skimmer (3 x the $) and it pulled less than 10% of what this pulls out of my tank. Easy to adjust, great service from Aqua Medic on questions and simple to use.. It's important to get the water level right for the pump to produce well but otherwise I would recommend this to anyone.

Comments: Produces more then enough bubbles. does have excess that will come out into tank. Skims like a champ. Have had it running about two months. Took about 2 weeks to break in. (along with my brand new tank). Produces a nice thick sludge. Once I got the adjustment correct which is easy as adjusting a lever. Only downside is the girgling sound from the vent tube. Called aquamedic about it b/c instructions showed it comes with a sound dampener but mine had none. apparently none of them come with it anymore. Cant imagine why??? I rigged one up with ducktape and cotton balls. Other then that, For a hang on unit, this is the best.

Comments: The Turboflotor Blue 1000 is an easy skimmer to install and configure in a wide variety of aquarium settings. It has a strong needle/mesh wheel pump. I have had the skimmer running roughly 5 days and it still is not producing any decent skimmate. My guess is that it still is breaking in.
