Comments: When we had our system put in our pond, the original equipment was "Aqua Parts". We have had such good luck with this brand we decided to stay with them. I would recommend Aqua products to anyone.

Comments: This transformer is working fine. Label indicates "this product is not submersible", but neglects to say whether it is OK in normal exterior location, rain, etc. Does this need to be protected from the rain?

Comments: I bought the Aqua UV sterilizer about 5 years ago for my 90 gal reef. The transformer finally blew. I just bought the replacement from Marine Depot and I am back in business. They made a slight improvement with it, providing an end cap that allows you to unscrew the transformer without having to rotate the entire UV assembly around it. Very nice addition. Only draw back is it is black and not white like the main body.

Comments: I bought a replacement transformer for my 57-watt classic Aqua UV sterilizer because the original one finally went bad. (It was making my UV bulb flash on briefly every 3 seconds, and Aqua UV Techical Support suggested that it was probably a bad transfomer.)

<br />The replacement transformer is the whole electrical piece, from electrical plug to bulb socket, and there was no assembly required. It is not white as my original one was (the main unit housing the bulb is white), and it does not bear the "Aqua UV" logo as the original one did, but it works just fine.

<br />Most aquarium suppliers offer low ball prices then gouge you for the shipping not these guys.

Comments: The Aqua UV 40 W Replacement transformer/Ballast functions flawlessly and is nicely sealed. However, I have just ordered the third one in three years. Don't know whether the transformer is blowing the bulbs or vice verca, as they both fail at the same time.

Comments: The original transformer that came with the UV sterilizer lasted just over two years. This was easy to replace and is working so far so yes I would recommend it to my friends.
