Comments: Works very well with carbon in the top chamber. Don't drop it when full. I dropped mine first day (I have a tile floor in the tank room), Aqua-C sent a replacement lower chamber for $25 and $10 freight. I am very happy with the products performance.

<br />Since starting VSV dosing, my skimmate production on my EV-180 has tripled. I was emptying dark skimmate 2x/day, and I still could not keep up with production. This unit quiets the skimmer down, eliminates any smell (when pelletized carbon is used as directed), and makes maintenance much easier.

Comments: Works as advertised and holds a good bit of skimmate. Still have to keep the collection cup clean for the skimmer to work properly, but prevents an overflow and buys some time if you have to leave your tank unattended for a week.

Comments: I am in the process of setting up a new 150 gallon aquarium. I ordered this container to go along with the protein skimmer of the same brand. The container was delivered as promised. The box was well packed and everything was as expected. I like the convenience of the waste container.

Comments: I don't know how people use the AQUA C brand without a waste container, hassle free, no mess no stinky smell with the activated carbon filter place in the escape hatch, will not overflow, when the waste water reaches the ping pong ball valve the air pressure closes the hatch and the skimmer basically stops collecting waste till you can clean the waste container. I love Aqua -C, I use the EV120 with a MAG5 pump and this combination is killer!

Comments: I have yet to receieve a AquaC product that didn't do exactly what it claims to be able to do. This container is made of exceptional quality and will prevent overflow with the built in ball column once the water level rises in it, thus shutting off air into the skimmer body. The carbon filter prevents most smells from escaping the unit. Overall worth the money and safety against floods due to out of control skimming.

<br />The quick release top makes it so much easier to clean over the thumb screw type lids.
<br />Also I like the charcoal compartment. No special charcoal filter needed just fill it up with charcoal you have laying around and put the cap back on.
