"Auto fish feeder" - Product Review by Navarro George (Posted on 3/31/11)

Great!

Comments: I really like this feeder. Very easy to set up. Within ten minuets I had it working. Only thing I would like it to have is a clock to tell when it was going to feed. No other problems yet.

Comments: The instructions need to be more explicit- what time does the feeder start it's first feeding? If using the nightime off function,at what time does it feed? The Mfg. should provide more explicit timing info so it is not such a trial/hit and miss process to apply feedimg to aquarium inhabitants. In reguards to the light sensor, does it respond to daylight or aquariun lighting? or both, which ever happens first?.

Comments: It is a five star product if it is a programmable instead of use only interval; therefore it deserve only two stare and I would not recommend to any of my friend at all.

"High quality automatic feeder" - Product Review by Mark Mckinley (Posted on 3/3/09)

Great!

Comments: I found this product to be the highest quality of any of the fish feeders I looked at before purchasing. It is actually very simple to program and set up. I would have given it a five star rating it it could be programed for specific times instead of using intervals. I used the feeder for a mix of dried blood worms and shrimp while on vacation for ten days and all of the fish are still alive and healthy.

"works great for me" - Product Review by Erik Lust (Posted on 1/3/09)

Excellent!

Comments: I got this in spite of the mixed reviews and it's been perfect for me. It keeps great time; mine is set to run 3 times daily (setting 8) and it goes off at 12:15 and 8:15pm perfectly. It also will run at 4:15am if a light gets turned on.
I like the fact that it's a simple timer; I get tired of reseting things to match the real time, I just want the thing to feed twice during the photoperiod.
This might not be a good choice for people who want it to run less than twice a day since you will have to make sure and start it at a particular time since it may only be timed to feed at 2 in the morning and wont ever run (with the lights out).
The lighted display is kinda silly since you can't see where it is in it's cycle. I think it would sell alot better if it would show how many hours till the next feeding.

"I wouldn't buy it again." - Product Review by Carole Jeffs (Posted on 10/23/07)

Unsatisfactory

Comments: The digital display is not bright enough to read under my lights. I dont like not being able to set the feeding times. The bracket that holds it on the tank is flimsy and it "teeters" on the edge. One small bump and the entire thing would be in my tank....power cord and all.

"Good concept, poor timer." - Product Review by Derek Benedict (Posted on 9/21/07)

Comments: The heater keeps my food nice and dry.

I have 2 complaints for this feeder

1) The timer doesn't let you set the time of day that it feeds only the interval between feedings. I do not know when it is going to feed and inevitably it feeds 1/2 hour after I just finished feeding frozen.

2) The day/night sensor is nice but i have a lamp near my tank that makes the feeder think that it is daytime even though the tank lights are out. This problem would be solved by having a clock timer.
