Comments: the sedra 3500 is the second pump I have bought. It stopped working both times after about a year. I thought about replacing the pin wheel but both pumps were shocking me when I tried to get the pin wheel to turn. I feel that they are dangerous and need to have better grounding in them.

Comments: This is the second pump for this skimmer. It's a great pump and little maintenance is required. When it goes it goes. No warning or problems. I had the first one for about 3 years.

Comments: I have an ASM G3 skimmer but I bought the pump for the G4 because it looked identical to what I already had while the pump for the G3 looked different. (Both are Sedra 5000s). It turns out that the outlet on my original G3 pump is 3/4" and the one on the pump for the G4 is 1/2". I simply put a 3/4" x 1/2" adapter on the pump and used the sweep and pipe from my old pump. The height was slightly off but I just needed to raise the skimmer slightly and all is good. Aside from that, there were no issues and the pump works great.

Comments: Item is an exact replacement and includes the pump, inlet venturi, air tube and outlet tube. Worked perfectly right out of the box!

Comments: If you are a novice and undecided about a skimmer, look no further. I highly recommend the ASM skimmer. I have had many different skimmers, in my 20 years of this hobby, and nothing compares to my ASM!! So easy, so effective and replacement parts are accessible and easily replaced. In this case, plug and play is absolutely correct. Nothing like an ASM. Setup: 180 FOWLR.

Comments: The pump worked right out of the box but the impeller starts making loud vibration noises every day or so. I have to restart the pump and stop the air flow for a few minutes so the pump moves just water until the vibration stops. There is nothing visibly wrong with the pump or impeller and it keeps running even with the loud vibration noise. Not sure what is happening but its been frustrating. These are great skimmers but I keeping having minor problems with the pumps.

Comments: Worked well right out of the box. Came complete with all of the required parts to attach to my asm g4. Required minimal effort to attach and started right up.

Because the Mini-G G-300 was the exact duplicate of the one I had, I decided to go with it so that I would not have any additional plumbing to deal with. I had gotten more that 5 years of 24/7 work out of the original so I am counting on the new one to go the same distance.

Comments: I have owned my ASM skimmer for quite some time now. The replacement pump is doing a great job and seems quieter than the original. Sedra pumps never seem to fail my expectations. The original lasted about 5 years and I feel I will get the same with this one. Of course, the real key to long life is to keep the pump clean.

Comments: Great pump. The original lasted for 10 years and finally gave out. The pump comes with a needle wheel impeller but for some reason no pipe to connect between the output and the pump, but it does have the 90% elbow going out of the top. I guess that pipe is considered a part of the skimmer. I just used the old one, no big deal.

Comments: I got this pump to replace the Sedra 3500 in my Euro-reef skimmer that was over 7 yrs old and had stopped working. Other than having to remove the rubber feet on the base, it fit perfectly and the skimmer is working as good as new. The pump is extremely quiet and seems to be well made. Based on the last one running for over 7 yrs, I'd say they are fairly durable.

Comments: My old pump went out and I tried to replace the whole skimmer with a Marineland column skimmer. Should have just replaced this pump from the start. So much more power this way! Easy to put together. No sweat even for a beginner!

Comments: I like the needle wheel design, I bought this pump to replace the existing one that is 4 years old that won't re-start once it has been unplugged. I don't know if it is a malfunction with the impeller or with the motor of the pump, but not that one is the back-up to the new one. The skimmer works really well in my sump, very easy to calibrate, simply move the pvc tube up or down depending on the level of wet skimmate I have received.

Comments: this is the third sedra pump i have to replace on my skimmer the pump tends to get mess up after 6 moths the inside magnet tends to expand so much that it will stick onto the walls of the pump, i really hope they fix this problem or i will never buy any more products from all seas again... i have saved the broken pumps incase all seas will want to research the problem and fix it but they dont seem to care about it, and from what i read online forums there are many people with the same issue with the ASM Protein Skimmer Replacement Pumps

Comments: I purchased a used ASM-G3 skimmer for my 72g bow front tank. The skimmer was working awesome. I decided to replace the pump as all pumps loose power over time. Well, this pump has made a great skimmer even better. The bubbles are very small and there is no noticeable vibration as the old pump had. The pump is keeping the system very clean. Also, the air intake tube is much quieter that the air tube that was on the old pump.

Comments: I was hoping to use this to replace the Sedra 5000 on my Euroreef skimmer. However the output plumbing is not compatible. A larger coupling is cemented into the output of this skimmer. am unable to reuse my old elbow and tube because of this. The elbow is therefore a larger diameter, as well as taller, and the tube which would go into the skimmer is also too wide for Euroreef. I don't think an adapter would work, as with the longer elbow on this pump, I am already too high for the input on my skimmer.

Comments: I had an older skimmer where all the local fish stores wanted to sell me a whole $400.00 skimmer. This pump dropped right in, BUT good thing I had the old elbow...the new fittings would have not worked properly.

Comments: Good pump at a good price. I have a Euroreef E2-5 and a C6-1 skimmer. Both are powered by this model pump. Reliable, quiet and very fine bubbles. Every four to six months, remove the volute (the volute air inlet gets clogged with crystallized salt over time) and impeller assembly, disassemble and soak in vinegar overnight. Best to buy a spare volute and impeller assembly to avoid interruptions in skimmer operation. If the pump came with a spare impeller and spare volute, I'd give it five stars.

Comments: This was a replacment pump for the one that burned out,do to misuse. The fact that it came with venturi adapter and air line allready on it made the transfer so much easier.Of course it worked like a champ.Lesson learned,Don't run sumps dry!

Comments: The first time my pump went I got a replacement pump from Euro-reef the maker of my protien skimmer. Both pumps worked about the same. With both pumps I had to play with the airflow to get the right mix. This new pump is working better than the first 2 right out of the box. I was also able to lower the exit tube which allows more water to stay in the chamber to be scrubbed. The flow is stronger and the bubbles are finer. So far I'm am very happy with this pump.

Comments: I purchased this pump as a replacement for a Sedra KSP-2500 pump that apparently is no longer made with the same physical dimensions. It has a small footprint so it fits well in my sump, and it is as quiet as the pump that it has replaced, however, it does not function as well as the Sedra. Bubbles are not as fine and it does not produce nearly as much waste.

I had bought the ASM Mini-G Protein Skimmer from another company, and they didn't offer a replacement pump. Comments: The pump does a great job but the downside is it's rather loud. My original pump broke so I sent i back and my new one is just as loud. The impeller shaft and rubber ends get worn out and this causes the impeller to vibrate inside the unit. It does extract tons of waste out of my tank however it is in our family room so I need to crank the surround sound up a bit to drown it out.

Comments: My old Sedra 5000 pump that is at least 8 yrs old on my Euroreef CS6-2 finally gave out and I bought this one to replace. Even though the new Sedra 5000 does you a 1" outlet instead of the old 3/4", I had old 3/4" pvc pipes laying around to make it work. New pumps can make a big difference skimming and I'm glad I bought a new one and not a used unit. A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Comments: Although the ASM Mini G makes for a great protein skimmer I have been having some unusual luck with their pumps. This being my third attempt in hopes to be satisfied with the pump, but no luck. I don't know if it's the pumps I have been receiving or if it has do do with a design flaw for all G-300 pumps. Once it gets plugged in the skimmer works fine but the amount of noise that the pump generates is unheard of. Hope this issue gets resolved.

Comments: I buy this pump to replace the one on my turboflow hang on from Aqua Medic .even rated at 350gph ,half of the Aqua medic but it pump twice as strong.It's very powerful that i have to modified(chop down the water outlet)the protein skimmer to make it work,i think i should buy the whole new skimmer.it makes a lot of micro bubbles all over the sum.

Comments: ASM and Euroreef Skimmers are the best because of this pump. The needlewheel impeller and low wattage pump produce the finest microbubbles available of any skimmer out there. After 5 years I replaced the pump on my skimmer and it again began producing heavy skimmate immediately. Turned out the old pump only needed a new impeller so now I have a pump to experiment with skimmer design for myself!
