Comments: I installed this ball valve under the return flange for my reef tank. It has a very low profile and doesn't take up too much space. Make sure you use plenty of teflon tape and firmly torque your pipes and fittings. I put a light coat of silicon grease on the ball for lubrication. It appears to be all plastic and it is very well constructed. I will get another for the next tank I set up.

Comments: When dealing with water of any kind and you need positive verification that water is OFF, then you get a ball valve. This particular model is well priced and has only two modes: OPEN or CLOSED.

Comments: This is the one you want. Much less effort to turn than the red handle ball valve. Especally handy if you are trying to regulate a flow.

Comments: Works just like a ball valve should. Makes it easy to shut of water supply from pump when cleaning a canister filter.
