"Sump"

Comments: I wish I had gotten the larger size sump for my 90 gal tank, the volume is roughly 18 gal. My Eheim 1260 is a tight fit with the base on, but no other problems getting other components into the tank so far. Over all I am happy with my Berlin Sump.

"Berlin Sump"
- Product Review by Joseph Jacks

Comments: I bought a berlin sump to go along with a 4" sock for filteration. I had to buy this because I was unhappy with my old sump that I paid $225 for. Let me tell you.. I paired this sump with a ASM G-2 Skimmer, and within a few minutes I could notice changes in my water clarity. People are right about the sock though, it is a challenge to clean. If you want to properly clean it, it's best to put it into the washer w/only bleach to get it to turn white.. and to kill any kind of bacteria caught in the filter.
The number of microbubbles is remarkably lower than the previous sump. I would recommend 1 thing... when it says "sump only" don't do what I did and buy the sock adapter.. it already has a place for the sock.. This item for the price is a really great addition to my reef.
I did notice some cloudiness within the first 2-3 days of hooking it up.. so rinse the sock before you use it.. either way I don't think that is preventable.

"30x14x16"

Comments: I replaced my 30Gal glass homemade sump. This sump is huge improvement. Plenty of room for skimmer Aqua c 240 with 1800 gal Mag pump. This sump allows you to drill out for bulkheads and mount your skimmer pump on the outside of sump, keeps pump from overheating your tank.

Comments: amazing results after adding this product to my tank. Maintence is much easier than the homemade one I had. I did have a bit of trouble getting it to fit in my 120's stand. I had to remove a brace to get it to fit, but overall it is a great product. always go big with a sump :)

"so done with HOB"
- Product Review by Curt Minerd

Comments: i was done with my HOB skimmer and will never go back after plumbing my first sump. a little overkill for my tank, but you can't argue with the results. enough room for some extra rock and protein skimmer. definitely wish the smaller bs-1 had bulkhead the bs-2 has on the return side, otherwise it would have been 5-star.

"Nice sump!"
- Product Review by Ronald Hattie

Comments: Its big enough to fit all my gadgets (skimmer, calcium reactor, heater and probes), and has nifty ports to connect hoses & the filter sock to. I drilled a bulkhead on the exit side, which works great (connected an Iwaki 30RLXT pump for the return). I'm running this under a 90 gal tank. So far, so good! I've got a shorter cabinet, and this unit fits under with room to reach the skimmer.

"so glad i went sump"
- Product Review by John Dellamanna

Comments: So glad I went sump instead of canister for the filtration. The only neutral comment I would offer is that the manufacturer should consider offering a two piece acrylic top to slow down the evaporation level of the water. With covering the sump, I was evaporating at a rate of 1 gallon daily. A trip to Home Depot, a dremmel, and a little patience enabled me to construct the two piece top i desired for $20. Now I evaporate at a rate of 1 gallon every three days... A few words of caution should you decide to make your own top. But the thicker acrylic (same thickness as the sump) and work very slowly with dremel to keep it from cracking

"Good Sump"
- Product Review by Jamey Prange

Comments: Second straight SPS tank I've used this sump for. Good build, plenty of room for equipment, even fit a Zeo Reactor and ER CS-80 in it at the sametime. Only knock (one star) is because of it lacks a rim or bracing on top, you do get some salt creep. Overall very good sump, and make sure to order extra filter socks.

"Great Product"

Comments: This sump is exactly as it is advertised. Well built and simple to set up. I glued the baffle piece so that it could be used as a bubble catcher. Unlike other sumps this one has no piece glued to the top that can hinder your space needed for large skimmers. I love it.
