Blue Life Phosphate Rx 1oz Information

Product Manuals & Documentation

The dangers that lurk in your aquarium water cannot be seen. It is easy to see debris that floats in the water or very large grains of pollutants on the water, decayed material that flow or slime that accumulates at the bottom. These are easy to see and easy to fix because you could see the danger. The same goes with parasites that stick to your fish`s body or if you mistakenly put the wrong specie of fish there and there is a lot of tension. You can see the dangers there because it is visible. The real danger is when organic debris from fish excrement and uneaten food or just general decay of plant life and detritus in your aquarium plant biologically decompose.

This releases harmful chemicals like ammonia, phosphates, nitrates and nitrites. While a great biological filter can knock out ammonia, nitrites and nitrates from your water, phosphates need extra work on your part. Thankfully, there are products in the market that cure phosphate issues in your water and one of these is Blue Life Phophate Rx from Pet Store. This compound makes it very simple and effective to remove phosphates from freshwater and saltwater aquariums. As a result, Blue Life Phosphate Rx increases the growth, color and vitality of your aquarium animal life. If you are looking for an effective phosphate removing solution, try Blue Life Phosphate Rx today.

"Can stress fish" - Product Review by Neal Kurfiss (Posted on 7/16/12)

Comments: This product removes phosphate very well by precipitating out phosphates.

I used less than 1/5 of the max amount listed. My fish were notably stressed. My Pacifiv blue tang was near death for several days. He managed to survive but I was very surprized My more robust fish were not excited about the change but they were OK.

I would not recomend this product for aquarists with "tricky" fish.

Excellent!

Comments: I was dieing with black beard algae. Everything was being choked and I found out that my tap water was also loaded. I also over feed a little but it is OK because I can maintain low phosphate with this product

"effective product" - Product Review by Marshall Evans (Posted on 6/23/09)

Excellent!

Comments: I have used a variety of phosphate removal medias. They all help, but this product really reduces the phosphates quickly. My phosphates went from 0.04 to 0.00 in two applications at half strength. Some zoos recoiled for a few days, but recovered. The phosphate removal medias held the phosphates down. This product is a good one to get phosphates down below the .03 recommendation. I use it occasionally to keep the phosphate level at zero.

"It just works" - Product Review by Kenneth Argo (Posted on 10/9/08)

Excellent!

Comments: Not many products around today that you can say that about. After reading the 1st post I was a bit cautious but a little checking indicated that the information was likely user error than product error. I dosed into the return from my skimmer chamber, the water did get a little cloudy but when the clouds cleared so did the PO4. In my case I had a return pump fail (while I was away) and came back to a diatom outbreak and PO4 at .15; in 2 doses (1/2 bottle each) over a couple days the diatoms where gone, and the PO4 was down to .04. I now run a Deltec FR509 with 1 ltr of Rowaphos loaded to keep levels down but I keep a bottle of Blue Life Phosphate Control around for emergencies!

Comments: I was hoping this would be a great product. I dosed at half the amount being really careful of my corals. My zoo's retracted and still aren't the same. I did an emergency water change and put carbon in my diatom and ran that. It did help some. It will be awhile before they recover, even at half dose. I will say this, it did actually get rid of some of my flat worms. That night they were being sucked in out of the system. My corals are too important to me to use that so less feeding, continue rinsing any frozen foods that use phosphate in the binding process, more water changes. At least I didn't loose any livestock. I carefully monitored the situation, as I would any medications.

"So Far So Good" - Product Review by Stephen Bonville (Posted on 5/9/08)

Excellent!

Comments: I was a little worried about using this product, so I cut back the dose to slowly make the change in Phosphate level come down. So far atfer 10 days everything looks good, and I have seen no aftereffects. Much easier than a sponge product.
