Boston Aqua Farms Colored Reef Epoxy Putty 2oz Information

Have you ever wondered how corals and other fixed structures don`t float around underwater? Surely, buoyancy should be an issue because it makes everything lighter. Stuff should be moving around when exposed to the force of a water current or flow. Well, that is true, which is why the Boston Aqua Farms Colored Reef Epoxy Putty from Pet Store was invented. This epoxy, just like regular epoxy, acts a very strong glue that puts corals and other structures in place. However, it is different from epoxy because a) it is made of materials that are safe for aquatic living things and b) it is the same color as corals for maximum camouflage. It has a purple shade that perfectly blends with the algae in corals. The effect is very natural, with no unsightly color out of place.

The Boston Aqua Farms Colored Reef Epoxy Putty dries fast and does not discolor after curing. The process of using it is quite easy: get a piece of putty, knead it to get a complete mix, then, spread it between the two surfaces you want to stick together. It is best used for sticking small structures to a surface. The epoxy will provide enough adhesive to keep them weighted down.

Coralline color! Cut, knead, squish, mount, cured in minutes!

"Works ok, need to let it sit" - Product Review by Tyler Borsack (Posted on 8/29/09)

Great!

Comments: This is good epoxy, but you need to make sure you use enough and make sure it sits for a while. It takes 3-5 minutes for it to set, and says it needs 20 min. to cure. It is good stuff and the pinkish color is better than grey.

Great!

Comments: Does exactly what it is intended to do and sets-up pretty quickly once in the water. The color blends in well. I would recommend wearing rubber or poly gloves when kneading and working with the epoxy as the smell seems to stick with your hands through a number of washings.

Great!

Comments: I have been working with rref tanks for over 20 years. does this make me an expert? No! I do have experience with other epoxy products. I find Boston Aqua's product to be easy to work with, mixes well and placed properly you use very little of it. The color is very close to coraline so it doesn't stand out. Great product for your reef tank.

Great!

Comments: This product does everything it says it will. Too bad I didn't buy the larger tube though, because if you have never used epoxy in an aquarium before it takes some practice!

Comments: I could not get the wraping plastic off the puddy, it also had hard pieces in it. It seemed to stick to my hands better than plugs or rocks. Save your money on this one & buy something else.
