Comments: Great for low-med flow areas in a sump, I bought these to use with the new "Brightwell PO4 remover" and they were just what I needed for it!! READ ALL DIRECTIONS FIRST when using the new PO4 stuff it says to rinse thoroughly THEN "sit the chunks in a small tub of water FROM THE TANK" if you do this step until the tub stays clear with the media in, it should work for you as good as it did for me!!!

Comments: These bags are small enough to hold my carbon and the price was right. Very inexpensive but quality made.

Comments: Very nice size. I can't imagine what you would need a bigger size for. I used one on my 24 gallon and one on my 14 gallon and they worked fine. I would rinse your media before you put it in the bag. The mesh is so fine that it can trap some of the particles.

Comments: I purchased these bags because a review said they worked with Purigen, but that is not true. The purigen leaks through the bag. Otherwise for not as thin media they are good bags

Comments: Great bags to use with Chemi-pure Elite and Purigen. I cut each bag to size, as they are 11.5 inches long, and use a small string to close the bags. So far so good with zero issues. It keeps the product inside the bag with no leaks.

Comments: Well, all I can say is that I use it as another bag around my Purigen bag after reading on the Internet about how the Purigen bags can break. I haveonly had it runnung for a day when my 10k 36W Daylight Bulb (not Actinic) burned out, but Oceanic said they would replace for free because my Bio Cube 29 Gal is only 3 months old. That is right, I'm a Nube. As a nube, I have learned what to despise: Cynobacteria (Cured with Red Slime Remover no problem), Green Hair Algae, and %^$^#% NITRATES in general. Anyway, we will see how it goes. I sort of got hosed by the Pet Shop. They gave me "cultured" water instead of starting fresh. By cultured, I mean from another one of their salt water tanks. It had 100ppm of Nitrates, and I was PISSED.
Anyway, they gave me freebies for the screw up, and now I have the Nitrates at about 25 ppm. I have some mushrooms, a blenny, and a pepermint shrimp (last two are sort of a team). I hope the Purigen combined with some Chemi Pure I have will get the Nitrates down to about 10 ppm or so.

PS, had fresh water for years. I wish someone would do a quick 4 or 5 8.5X11 paper
exact steps on how to get things going and why the steps are needed. (Nitirogen Cycle, Sump setup and why, etc.) I figured it out for the most part with some loose ends remaining, but talk about dealing with a bad problem up front.

Comments: I use these bags for carbon in my sump for my reef tank. No problems and I prefer the nylon tie as it's good at keeping everything in the bag.

"Good bag of seachem purigen"
- Product Review by Alvin Pacis

Comments: Upon advice from the support team, I use it on seachemm purigen media and it works great. Purigen is very fine and this bag holds it good. One thing I don't like, this bag rips easily. I wish they sold the seachem bag (THE BAG)design for purigen and other chemical media. The bag and purigen can be soak in strong bleach solution needed to recharge it, without damage to the bag.
