Comments: I've been keeping marine fish for well over 30 years and the first thing I used when switching from an undergravel filter to a power filter was Chemi-pure. It worked miracles with water clarity and chemistry then and it still delivers. I wont debate the claim of "no water changes" as any aquarium keeper would be crazy to not do regular water changes, simply for the sake of their livestock. The only issue I have is the inability to remove it from the bag. However, I experimented and cut my bags so I could pour this stuff into the filter canister on a HOT Magnum. Time will tell if there is a loss in product efficiency. My recommendation is: Buy this stuff - it beats activated carbon media sold by most filter manufacturers and beats it hands-down.

Comments: This product is worth every penny... just be careful to not buy the big one if you don't have a 175 - 200 gallon tank as the product is all in one bag not two like i assumed. Either way like most coral enthusiasts i dealt with the problem and it's rocking!

Comments: I have used Boyd's chemi pure for over ten years now. I use Boyd's in my fresh, and salt water aquariums. I purchased the 40 oz size to try out in my pond, looking great so far. I love the crystal clear water I get with Boyd's.

Comments: I had been using Bio-Chem Zorb and heard about Chem Pure so I tried it since it was cheaper and told it last longer. Had put it in the filter and 2 week I had cloudy water and started a fungus on my Orande goldfish by the second week my water readings were off for the first time and I was very angry took it out and sent the product back and I went back to a great product which took 1 day to clear up the water not the fungus which took something else. Save yourself spend the extra dollars get a GREAT product Bio-Chem Zorb. By the way I have a 50 gal tank with 3 Oranda and 2 fancy goldfish and have had them for quite awhile. I use a Rena X3 filter for them.

<br />Its great . Keeps water crystal clear and fish just seem "perkier" with it . I still do weekly water changes and would never rely on any media to keep water fresh but it will remove junk and plants thrive.

Comments: I have been using this product for several years, but I really wonder if this is any better than any charcoal in the market. My LFS guy was gushing about this product so I have been using it, but my nitrate, phosphate levels are not any better than just using charcoal. Just do regular water changes and save money.

Comments: Using it since it first came out, I place it in front of my Rowaphos in case any phosphate leakage. Packaging is misleading and irresponsible you must do 10-20% Water changes every week.

Comments: I have been in the hobby for over ten years, and Chemi Pure is a must have for a saltwater tank. Once you run it on your tank, you will see a difference in water quality. The tank water will be crystal clear. I have a 110 gallon tank, stocked with 100 lbs live rock, a chocolate tang, tomini tang, yellow damsel, harlequin eel and a percula clown. I would use chemi pure on any tank i ever run.

Comments: I have been using Chemi-pure for some time. It clears the water and removes odors. I am really happy that it now comes in a large bag. It covers up to two hundred gallon tanks.

Comments: My water turn a bit yellow, so I put this in my sump for 3 days. Within the first 24 hrs, I can see a big difference. Very nice product. It comes sealed and a bit damp, so don't be surprise. And customer service made me a very happy customer when they helped me out w/ my order.

Comments: Clears green water to crystal water in a day. I use the whole bag in Hagen power filter on 220gal tank. The only reason it didn't get an excellent rating. Is because you have to clean it with RO water. Dip it about 3 or 4 times in 3 separate buckets of RO water. Don't drop it in your main RO bucket. It will turn all your RO water black. I called BOYD spoke with to who I believe was the owner. He said "this is way it activates". I have been using this stuff for years. Works better than standard carbon. Still do your water changes even though the product says you dont have to. Clean every 2-3 weeks by dipping the bag into a bucket of aquarium water. This will remove any detrius.
