Comments: I bought one of the 75gpd membranes 2 years ago and ever since I have gone through my DI cartridges like crazy. I had changed the flow restricter at the same time.

I finally bought some dual tds monitors to check the in/out on my ro and another one to monitor my dual di cartridges.

That monitors showed that the tds in/out on the ro membrane was exactly the same at 34ppm. So I installed my old spectrapure 50 gpd membrane that is over 10 years old which I had saved by putting it in a sealed bag with some ro water in the frig. Now the tds monitor show 34ppm in and 0 ppm out.

I only gave three stars because I am not sure what the problem was with this membrane. The only reason I was changing membranes was to up the gallons per day. My old membrane was still going strong whem I replaced it. Needless to say I am now sticking with all the highest quality replacement sediment, carbon and di filters frm spectrapure.

Well that showed 34ppm in and 0 ppm out.

"Great product"
- Product Review by Bretton Morris
(Posted on 1/18/12)
-
Comments: After install of this, and fresh carbon and DI cartridges, my TDS of processed water is at 1. Yah, 1. Per million. It works quite well, and is replacing my Kent TFC membrane (which worked as well, but is double the cost).

Quick note - the Captive Purity housing is a tad too large for the Kent membrane, but this membrane should fit fine in the Kent. The seal around the outside of this membrane covers a larger circumference but should compress just fine in the *slightly* tighter Kent housing. The Captive Purity membrane and the CP housing work, of course, perfectly together.

Comments: This is an excellent reverse osmosis membrane and costs much less than many other "name brands."
I monitor my water as it is being filtered and can say this membrane works quite well.
Make sure you spend a few dollars to be able to flush your membrane so you can preserve your investment.

"Works great"
- Product Review by Shawn Murai
(Posted on 5/4/11)
-
Comments: Timely shipping and good packaging (the filter only comes in a plastic bag but it was in a larger box with packing peanuts). The filter looked to spec as my original. Went to youtube to get an instructional on how to/how not to install it. I recommend that for 1st timers. My water quality is pretty good out of the tap and ppm was at zero after flushing. Just installed it so my rating does not judge longevity.

"Great AND low price!"
- Product Review by Benjamin Stading
(Posted on 1/25/11)
-
Comments: We recently replaced the RO membrane of our Coralife Pure-Flo II with this product and, thanks to our in-line dual TDS meter, we now can rest comfortable knowing that our water is coming out super pure. The RO membrane is taking the water down to ~12ppm, and our DI filter ("Color Indicating Mixed Bed DI Cartridge") brings that number down to 0ppm. We have no comment on longevity yet, but as it stands we are very happy with the price and performance of this product.

"Averaging 46 GPD"

Comments: I bought this 100 GPD membrane and the "RO1215 Flow Restrictor 75-100 GPD" to upgrade my current RO/DI system from 25 GPD to 100 GPD. I am on well water with an incoming TDS of approximately 600 ppm and the system works great because the output is 0 ppm.

"Captive Purity Hi-Silicate Rem"
- Product Review by Patrick Smith
(Posted on 11/23/09)
-
Comments: Installed this unit to replace my original Coralife 50GPD membrane and to date my best recorded TDS was 3 ppm with this Captive Purity Hi-S unit. My cofiguration is: (prefilter)(Carbon)(Carbon)(Membrane)(DI KATI)(DI ANI). Now my DI stages no longer have to work as hard to pull out the remaining materials. Works for me...

"Great Product"
- Product Review by Michael D Fish
(Posted on 11/5/09)
-
Comments: Could not have been much easier purchase. I had a question about compatibility with my existing R/O unit and called customer service. Glad I did because I would not have purchased a different flow restrictor to go with the larger rating of this membrane.

Installation was quick and easy and the flow restrictor was right where they said it was. Took less than ten minutes to install.

I have not tested the water, but judging by my water changes, everything works great.

"it is what it is"
- Product Review by Nolan Shearer
(Posted on 3/12/09)

Comments: No actual branding on product, and could not find a connection between membrane manufacturer and Captive Purity. Upon some research found out it is just a generic membrane made in some country like Korea. Unsure of true quality, seems cheaply made compared to my old membrane, but seems to work so far.
