Product Manuals & Documentation

The Chem-Marine Stop Parasite 8 Oz from Pet Store is a wonderful product that you can use to get rid of the germs, bacteria, and other organic elements that cause harm on your reefs, as well on your fishes and plants. Very fast-acting and effective, this is the best water supplement you money can buy. With its features, what more can you ask for?

The product is concocted from a special formula containing reagents that can neutralize any harmful micro-organisms in your fish tank. It also contains the trace elements and nutrients that will make it more immune to these unwanted germs in the future. It has no chemicals and additives that might cause harm on your marine pets, and it does not have any preservatives that can leave an unusual color or taste in the water. Easy to use, 8 ounces of this solution can treat up to 55 gallons of water. And for your convenience, it comes in a plastic bottle that can keep it from evaporating and from pests, and it can be stored for a long time at room temperatures without refrigeration.

Buy the Chem-Marine Stop Parasite 8 Oz now and stop those germs and bacteria from harming your marine pets. This product is suitable for seawater and freshwater applications, and it comes with a complete set of instructions on the proper dosage and use. Shake well before administration.

Chem-Marin`s Stop Parasite helps to control parasites such as Oodinium and Cryptocaryon in a marine aquarium that contains corals or invertebrates. Stop Parasite is made from many different agents. One speeds up the fishes natural slime coat, causing the parasites to detach themselves. Another attracts parasites as a non-nutritional food source. Others speed up appetite and build the immune system. It will not harm the internal organs of the fish. 8 oz.

Recommeded Purchase Size (for a 5-day treatement):

8oz. for 30-55 gallons
16oz. for 75-100 gallons
32oz. for 125-300 gallons

During the treatment cycle, eliminate all filtration which removes particles smaller than 25 microns. Stop the use of poly filters, Chemisorb, charcoal, UV and ozone systems. Protein skimmers may be left running.

Put 10 drops per gallon of water twice daily (once in the morning, once in the evening) into the tank for 5 days. Stop Parasites is acidic, so check the pH of the tank both before and after each dose and buffer if necessary.

New fish:
When you bring new fish home, add 5 drops of Stop Parasites to the water in the acclimation container. When buying new fish, ask the store clerk to add 5 drops of Stop Parasites to the water in the fish bag.

Add 5 drops of Stop Parasites to the tank water twice daily for 4-5 days after new fish are introduced to prevent stress induced parasites in the new fish as well as the old ones.

"KILLS THE FISH" - Product Review by Linda Finke (Posted on 1/24/12)

Unsatisfactory

Comments: This is one of the worse products we have ever used. We added six new fish to our 125 gallon tank. We immediately realized that we now had ich in the tank. Tried this product! Every fish that was new, died. Did the last burial according to Bill Cosby (ck. out first episode!). We will go back to our other product -- Ich Attack!

"It really worked" - Product Review by Paul Napolitano (Posted on 3/19/10)

Excellent!

Comments: I was skeptical after reading the reviews here, but I had become desperate for an ich remedy after losing a few fish.

I was suprised how well this worked -- if I didn't know me, I'd think this was marketing BS.

Within a day, I noticed fewer spots on my powder brown tang, and by day 3 it was all clear. I continued the full 5 day treatment and monitored pH. I think the people who are complaining neglect the pH. If the pH drops, the fish will suffer even further stress. I use kalkwasser top off and still had to add some buffer around day 3.

Excellent!

Comments: Chem-marins stop parasites does help control saltwater ich. Ive used it several times in my various reef tanks and never had any problems. It didnt affect my corals or inverts and it starts working pretty quick. I always keep some on hand. Just make sure you buffer your PH .

"Very Disappointed" - Product Review by Andrew Woung (Posted on 6/5/09)

Comments: I read the reviews of this stuff and I have to admit that i was on the fence on this. The reviews were equally good and bad and I did my homework.
I followed Chem Marine instructions very carefully, even set specific dosage times for consistency. This product does not work.
If you are going into this hobby, take the time to set up a quarantine tank... JUST DO IT! You will thank yourself later.

"EXCELLENT" - Product Review by Matthew Sims (Posted on 9/23/08)

Comments: I used this product in my 24g nano reef, which contains Acros and other SPS corals, to treat a juvenile Black Tang. The fish was covered with spots. After the treatment all the Ich is gone and the corals are still very healthy.

"Doesn't Work" - Product Review by Arron Deans (Posted on 9/13/08)

Unsatisfactory

Comments: I have treated my tank with this for 5 days. I have followed the directions to the "T". Fish appear to not respond to the treatment, rather, they got worse. I ended up getting a Hospital tank and treating with a copper based med as I have corals and inverts in my main tank. After 3 days of the new medicine they show little signs of ich. Will not buy this product again.

"Top Notch" - Product Review by Doug Stephenson (Posted on 9/9/08)

Excellent!

Comments: I have been using this product for over a year. It does exactly what it states it can do with absolutely no detrimental effects on inverts or corals. The only advice I have is to buffer your tank prior to each use of this product as it can drop the PH in a tank that is not properly buffered. That being said, this stuff knocks out parasites within a few days. Also great to put a few drops into the bag of new fish during the acclimation phase to prevent any parasites from being introduced. I love this stuff!

Comments: I did not have good of a success as out reviewers.
I started with less than 10 Ich spots on my fish but ended up with countless more. Hence early treatment did not work. Furthermore, it caused a Cyano bloom.
Nice!!!

"ICK" - Product Review by Scott Gilgovan (Posted on 10/20/07)
Rating
Unsatisfactory

Comments: Worked great on my small hair algea problem, but after using as directed for the entire bottle and beyond the 5 day, daily usage recommendation my fish still have ICK. One thing positive is that it DID NOT effect any of my 40 gal. mixed reef tank inverts which include SPS,LPSmushrooms, Zoo's and clams. I think this would be better used as hot sauce then too rid your reef tank of ICK. This product in my opion does not rid a reef tank of this NASTY little parasite.
