Comments: So far, i am very happy with this regulator. Needle is very precise on the bubble counter. it is used with a controller on a dual chamber calcium reactor and is working great.

"Inconsistent Results"
- Product Review by Jeff Drobick

Comments: I have owned 3 of these regulators over a period of 7 years. At times they work great - bubble count is consistent and adjusts at a rate appropriate for a reactor. However, I have had many issues with them - difficulty keeping the bubble count, sealing properly on the tank as the provided teflon washer tends to bind up on the collar, etc. Once this one fails I'm moving to an alternate one for sure. I would try another one.

"Solenoid failed OPEN"
- Product Review by Yousef Khalidi
(Posted on 9/22/11)

Comments: Less than 8 weeks after I installed this regulator, I come home to find that the matreial in the reactor is turning to mush and the ph in the reactor is dangerously low at 5.2. My controller was doing its job (the solenoid was OFF, I verified carefully), yet CO2 was escaping. Lousy design to fail OPEN like that. I need to find another brand.

"co2 regulator"
- Product Review by Ernest Dragan
(Posted on 2/7/10)

Comments: had the CO2 system running for only 8 hours and then a catastrophic failure happened. CO2 gas started to rapidly escape from the unused sealed port, burst disk, on the pressure regulator. the tank was filled to 2300 psi, not sure if that is too high of pressure.

"Mixed bag!"
- Product Review by Donald Maurice

Comments: Regulator works fine but the needle valve is not precise enough for my needs and was disappointed with it. Will be swapping it out. No instructions were provided with the purchase -- you have to start these things according to a certain procedure or you can damage the unit -- particularly the low pressure gauge.

"CO2 regulator with solenoid"
- Product Review by Frank Borkam
(Posted on 9/27/09)

Comments: Got this regulator running for about 2 years now. It controls the flow of CO2 for my low pressure CO2 system for my planted fresh water tank. Give it only "average" stars due two problems:
- accidentally blew out the low pressure gauge - there's no protection so be careful and read the instructions!!! But anyhow it still works for my purposes.
- the solenoid failed once (soon after I had it installed) to close so pH in the fish tank was dropping dangerously. Thankfully I caught this in time.

Overall I'm happy though and still would recommend the product.

"Very Good"
- Product Review by Mathew Spray
(Posted on 9/10/09)

Comments: I've only had the regulator for a few weeks now but I am glad I got this one. It took a good day or so to dial in the bubble rate so be patient. Very easy to setup, no leaks, and a consistent injection rate. I'm very picky about giving 5 stars but this one came close.

"CO2 Regulator"
- Product Review by Steven Jestis
(Posted on 8/11/09)

Comments: This is the third CO2 Regulator I have owned/used, and I believe the best one. The dual controls for adjusting the flow provide outstanding control, and the solonoid is not only lighted but remains cool to the touch at all times. I have no problem recommending this unit.

"Good"
- Product Review by Michael Hensel

Comments: I'm on my 4th year of use wih this regulator and I have not adjusted it anytime in recent memory. They are rather fragile and should be handled carefully, also too much CO2 pressure can blow them out and they will not work properly. Make sure you follow the directions.

"A Piece of Junk"
- Product Review by Robin Lynn

Comments: I've had this regulator for 6 months and have never been able to get it dialed in. Just when I think the bubble count is stable I go back to check it and the CO2 flow has dropped so practically no bubbles are coming out. I tweak the needle valve a little and the bubbles start up again. I go back to check it the next day only to discover no bubbles again. I've gone through this endless cycle over and over and it's led to two bleaching events in my tank. I bought this regulator because other reefers said it was one of the best and most reliable on the market. That has definitely not been my experience and I'm done with this product!

"CO2 Regulator Econe"
- Product Review by Steven Tanabe
(Posted on 12/11/08)
-
Comments: The regulator is well made and easy to install. The ad for this regulator indicates an "upgrade" to a fine-adjust needle value is available. I asked about this and what they mean is you have to buy the valve that comes with the Econo and buy a higher precision valve separately. Outside of this issue, I am very happy with the performance of the regulator.

"Good but Sensitive"
- Product Review by Todd Skelton
(Posted on 10/6/08)

Comments: This is a solidly built product that requires lots of patience to adjust. It took me 3 days to stabilize the bubble count. Continuous adjustments of BOTH valves eventually created a consistent bubble count of 12 per minute.

"bad product"
- Product Review by Vivek Malhotra

Comments: Bought this item. Came in highly recommended by this store. The gauge connected to CO2 tank malfunctioned right out of the box. Fortunately it has a 6month prorated warranty but it still sucks to pay $25 plus $15 in shipping for a $150 regulator. Will strongly advise to look elsewhere

"Misleading Picture"
- Product Review by Jose Juarez
(Posted on 5/30/08)
-
Comments: This regulator has a nice, compact size. It will probably work fine for a CO2 tank on the calcium reactor that I'm setting up. But, the picture that Marine Depot includes with this item is misleading; it is NOT a low pressure gauge (0-70 psi) but a high pressure gauge (0-400 psi) that arrives at your doorstep. No matter: I'll just replace the gauge with an $8 replacement part found elsewhere.

"GREAT BUDGET REGULATOR"
- Product Review by Jeffery Campbell
(Posted on 3/18/08)

Comments: All parts were packed tightly so no damage could occur in shipping. It assembles easily and has a preset pressure relief valve built in. I had the calcium reactor dialed in quickly (a couple minutes at most). It held the settings without fluctuation.

GREAT PRODUCT for the budget minded.

Comments: Excellent equipment, compact and easy to use, and very easy to install. This is the perfect equipment for the CO2 reactor that I also aquired from you guys. The delivery time was also excellent, keeping in mind that this was an international order it arrived in only 5 working days.
