Current USA 48 Inch 54W 460nm Actinic SlimPaq T5HO Fluorescent Bulb Information

Optimizing T5 lamps demands a thorough understanding of lighting and phosphor technology. Current TruLumen high output T5 lamps were designed to deliver the maximum amount of lumens from the shortest possible length. The result is an extremely bright lamp that can produce nearly twice the lumen output of a standard T8 fluorescent lamp in similar length.

The Ultimate Spectrum
TruLumen T5HO lamps feature remarkable color consistency and rendition. This consistency is essential for simulating the wavelengths of natural light found on living reefs. Our proprietary blend of Nichia Phosphors creates colors that replicate those found in the natural aquatic environments. Available in Daylight 10,000k & 6,7000k and Actinic Blue 460nm & 420nm wavelengths.

Seamless Integration
A system using TruLumen high output T5 lamps offers a tremendous amount of lumens-per-watt (LPW). When coupled with a Current T5HO electronic driving system, TruLumen T5HO lamps can deliver anywhere from 95 LPW up to 105 LPW. By pairing a TruLumen T5HO lamp with a Current electronic ballast, you can create a lighting solution that will deliver unbeatable performance.

"Replacement bulb" - Product Review by James Goble (Posted on 7/8/09)

Excellent!

Comments: This is a replacement bulb for one broken in shipping. the bulb came loose in the manufacturers light fixture packaging. However the warehouse repackaging for shipment to me most likely saved the fixture from more damage. MarineDepot.com has some of the best warehouse packing I have seen (I am a retired warehouse manager). Kudos to the packing crew. The corals have responded well to the lighting as well.

Comments: It seems to me the bulb works fine since I started to use it two days ago. I would like to wait some weeks to have a better picture of the its whole impact in the tank's community.

Great!

Comments: I've had one bad experience so far. The bulbs went out only 2 weeks after receiving and I lost some coral because of it. Other than that I really love the system.

"Actinic bulbs not that purple" - Product Review by Bradley Becker (Posted on 7/31/08)

Comments: These are the most cost effective bulbs, but I wish I had gotten the darker purple frequency. These are more blue than purple so I think they are more of a 50/50 actinic bulb.

"T5 light" - Product Review by Debbie Opstedahl (Posted on 6/26/08)

Excellent!

Comments: This unit fits nicely on my tank. The light is distributed evenly and looks good too. I have it on a FW tank but it certainly would work for SW. And it runs cool which was a major factor in my decision to get a T5 fixture. It's a well made unit and I'm very happy with it.
<br />Also, it has 4 tubes so you can tailor your lighting to your fish's needs.
