Unlike other fish,
Koi fish not only look different but they also live outside in ponds. Their differences don’t stop there. Koi have a different nutritional profile requirement than aquarium fish. In particular, since Koi are so brilliantly colored, they require color enhancers in their feed to bring out their best colors. Not all Koi pellet manufacturers appreciate this fact. While this formulation include the protein and energy that Koi need for general health, it doesn’t have a color enhancing ingredient that would really bring out the best coloration in this fish.
If you’re looking to bring out the best in your fish, try Dainichi Koi Premium from
Pet Store. Its formulation includes 5 different protein sources but 3 of these are specially selected for color boosting abilities and these are Spirulina, Shrimp and krill. As you may know, krill and shrimp, shrimp species in general, help give a red color to fish life and organisms that eat them. That’s why salmon has a reddish color.
The Dainichi Koi premium is a favorite among the best Japanese Koi enthusiasts and breeders because of this special formulation. It’s a color boosting diet that not only takes care of your fish’s general nutritional needs but it is also centered at making your fish look as good as they could be. It’s also enriched with vitamin C and E so that there is an added luster and gloss to your Koi’s scales and the white color of the Koi stands out more. Dainichi Koi premium also includes calcium Montmorillonite clay which stimulates your fish to eat mineral particles which are used in the digestive tract to stabilize and helps metabolize possible toxins naturally. Other healthy additions to the formula include a wide array of Vitamins, Enzymes and Garlic to make sure that your fish resists parasites.
If you’re looking for an overall Koi centered feed that is aimed to bring out the best in your Koi, try Dainichi Koi premium.
Features:PREMIUM is our over-all most popular koi food. Ideal food for keeping all koi in show quality condition, this high performance formula provides your fish with a perfect balance of both growth and color. PREMIUM can be used alone or in conjunction with other formulas such as GROWTH PLUS, ALL-SEASON or PRIMARY. Featuring five sources of protein, of which spirulina, krill, and shrimp are also color enhancing, this formula is an all-time favorite with serious hobbyists and many top Japanese koi breeders and koi connoissuers. Dainichi`s unique two-step application of vitamins and minerals, especially vitamins C & E ensures that luster, sheen and whites of the koi are at their best. Like all Dainichi foods, PREMIUM contains calcium montmorillonite clay to simulate the natural ingestion of mineral particles and to bind and neutralize metabolic toxins. Raw, fully potent vitamins, digestive enzymes and garlic ensure that the fish are healthy and free of internal parasites. Furthermore, the scouring action of the clay enhances continued rejuvenation of the digestive tract which ensures a maximum rate of digestion and assimilation of nutrients. With only two sources of starch (flour as binder and wheat germ as a source of vitamin E and B), PREMIUM keeps the body conformation of all koi in a constant show-ready condition.

Guaranteed Analysis:- Min.crude protein: 42%
- Min. crude fat: 4%
- Max. crude fiber: 4%
- Max. moisture: 9%
- Max. ash: 9%
Usage:Feed your fish only as much as they will eat (immediately) in a few minutes, 2 to 4 times daily. Smaller, more frequent feeding are preferred over a single large one. All Dainichi foods have low levels of starches to prevent excessive swelling in the digestive tract and to maintain a lean show-ready body conformation. There is no need for other spirulina-containing color food (like COLOR IMTENSIFIER) to be used in conjunction with PREMIUM. Heavy feeding using both of these color formulas may result in the whites of the koi turning pink, requiring a switch to either PRIMARY, ALL-SEASON or GROWTH PLUS until the whites return back to their normal shade.
