Digital Aquatics Expansion Socket for ReefKeeper Controller Information

Get total control of devices that have high current with the Digital Aquatics Expansion Socket for Reefkeeper Controller from Pet Store. This socket extends your Reefkeeper Controller model to more than its fixed maximum limit. You can now control the chiller circuits, several lights in one channel, and other high current devices. What is good about this gadget is that it operates without affecting the power rate of your Reefkeeper.

The Digital Aquatics Expansion Socket for Reefkeeper Controller manages the devices with the use of two 3-foot control lines that are attached to the controller`s channels. This is so simple to do. Just set the controller and then attach the expansion socket to it.

The Digital Aquatics Expansion Socket for Reefkeeper Controller provides 15A to more than one device. The socket is equipped with a six-foot cord that can be plugged to an electric outlet. It is ideal for both devices that have high electric demands or even those with limited power capacity. You can attach both chiller and pump to the expansion socket, and get outstanding performance.

With the Digital Aquatics Expansion Socket for Reefkeeper Controller, you can plug chillers, heaters, and other devices that have over 600 watts. It is a very convenient way of attaching so many devices without fear of high power costs.

Digital Aquatics Expansion Socket for ReefKeeper Controller Reviews

"Works like a charm." - Product Review by Cory Erickson (Posted on 3/24/09)

Excellent!

Comments: The photo of this is a little off - the units shipping are "wall wart" type plugs or brick that plug directly into the socket. Not sure if this is an old photo or a one of a newer model.

The unit does exactly as described and is great for poor power devices or hardware with higher demands. I am using this for a chiller circuit that turns on my pump and chiller at the same time.

The only complaint would be a unit that is exactly as pictured - not a wall mount type. The unit pictured gives you a little more flexibility with mounting location -as you have a power cord to the wall and a cord to your RK unit.
Works pefectly and the DA guys are hands down the best when it comes to taking care of customers.

Comments: This product is to control big amps and take the load off the pc4, if you wanted more outlets with low amp draw then yes a pig tail with splitter will work fine and you don't need a manual to tell you that! This is a great product for those of us that need to control MH's, chiller's and other power hungry devices.

Unsatisfactory

Comments: You loose 1 of the outlets in the reef keeper when you buy this. Unless you need more than 15 amps save your money and buy a pig tail. No where in the writeup on this site do they tell you this.

Great!

Comments: I got 3: one for the MHs, one for PCs & 1 for the entire Ca reactor system. Cheap powerstips or extensions would have worked too, but these gave peace of mind about the amperage. Just a little costly.

Excellent!

Comments: This item is great for electricity pigs, like halides and chillers. takes the pressure off the other outlets, but will need a wall socket of it's own.
