"7" Cutting Shears"

Comments: The cutting shears did not cut very well. Still had to use the shears more like pliers and break off the part of the coral intended for fragging. The break was cleaner than with pliers but left something to be desired. The best improvement would be to make the cutting edge concave for a sharper edge and provide less resistance when cutting tough stony coral. I would recommend this product with caveats.

"horrible product"

Comments: This is NOT surgical grade stainless steel so it will rust. I took great care of it, rinsing in fresh water after each use in my reef but still rusted. It also stuck often and had to manually separate the cutting blades.

<br />Save your money and buy one that is "surgical" grade!

"Nice Shear"

Comments: Nice heavy duty frag cutters. I have used them several times and they cut very nicely. I even used them to cut the base off a frag plug, so I would have a disk. Very happy with them. One downside, I don't really like the wire spring in the handle. If you are not careful, it will come apart. Easy, fast fix however, could have been designed a bit better. There than that, great strong, heavy duty cutters.

Comments: I found that the area where the two pieces met on the shears rusted very fast and essentially they have become a waste of money to me.

Comments: this shear works great, i have used it on some sps corals and would definitely recommend! just be sure to clean and dry thoroughly after use to avoid any future rust.

Comments: This is a great price for a solid well built set of shears. The handles get quite slippery when wet so i would suggest a pair of gloves.
