Dog grooming scissors are a great way to manage your dog’s coat without having to pay a professional to cut it for you. Dog grooming shears are affordable, too, and commonly retail for $10-15. If you do not intend to purchase clippers or other dog grooming supplies, pet grooming scissors are still handy to have around. Thinning scissors, as the name implies, helps to thin your dog’s coat. Similarly, curved scissors are curved up or down, left or right. It is important to use scissors specifically designed for dog grooming so you don’t inadvertently hurt man’s best friend. You can touch up recent haircuts, trim around the face, ears, legs, feet, bottom and even remove matted fur. If you’re going to give your dog a full-on haircut, keep in mind it won’t be flawless the first time. Practice makes perfect!
