Comments: Did an unbelievable job

Comments: I have 2 GE 1 in. High Flow Clear WH System inline filters one with a 10 micron and the other with a 5 micron filters and NOTHING else connected to this pump Dolphin Amp Master Diamond Freshwater/Marine Abrasive Proof 100 Pump - 6250 GPH (Type-4) and it can push more than 30G an hour! It replaced a ¾hp Seahorse now that is a pump the same filters, same plumbing and it was doing 2000GPH with clean filters 1200-1000 as they got dirty. I have a flow meter with its NIST certificate and recently calibrated and recertified. It was off by 0.00238 Litters Per Hour.

<br />Yes I reduced the outtake to 1 inch and that should have brought the water flow down to 4000gl and hour but to less than 30GPH? This pump is NOT a 6250 GPH even when measuring at the outtake spitting water to the air (tested in my pool)

<br />I am completely disappointed at it. Yes it uses less power than the Seahorse but the Gallon per Watt ratio is way higher!

Comments: This is a great pump for any large aquarium.

Comments: This product is cost twice as much as all the others but you get what you pay for Runs like a champ and never stops giving you 100% 24 hrs a day

Comments: We only use dolphin pumps @ Amore's Koi Farm. These are great pumps and we use them on all the koi ponds which we build. I have been running my oldest pump for over 5 yrs all year round.

Comments: I've had a Dolphin Amp Master on my 400 gal tank for two months now and the pump is quite and amazingly cool to the touch. I installed a cooling fan to cool the enclosed compartment below the tank but the Dolphin runs so cool I unplugged the fan.

Comments: This is my third Dolphin Pump. I ran one constantly for 14 years without any maintenance before it finally stopped working. The two new ones I have now on my 200 reef one as a return pump and one as a skimmer pump. They move so much water that I am considering turning them down a bit. Very quite and very powerful. By far the best pumps I have used.

Comments: I've run a Dolphin Amp Master pump on my Reef tank for over 4 years. I decided to exchange the first one I bought for a bigger one, and the company in Florida was very helpful during the exchange process. Once I had a problem with the pump not restarting. The company was very helpful and explained how to clean out the motor. I've never had it happen again, but the motor comes apart very easy. Only 4 long screws to take out. Clean out the dust, spray some wd-40 and it's good as new. The Dolphin Amp Master is virtually bullet proof and is very quiet. I decided on the Amp Master after lots of research. I chose the Amp Master because of the reviews, flow, and low noise level. Definitely one of the top pumps out there. Works great for my Closed Loop System!

Comments: Only had it in a closed loop setup on my 240 for 2 months, but I have to say its been absolutely silent since day one, and seems to pump the advertized volume per hour. Also, the type 4 seal hasn't had a drop of water from it yet. And as a bonus, it's hard to beat the power efficiency.

Comments: This will be my 2nd Dolphin pump after purchasing one 14-months ago. I'm replacing a Reeflo that I purchased three years ago and started acting up after 2-years of use. I have a 300 gal reef with two closed loops to run all the equipment.

<br />I've purchased a number of different pumps over the past 20-years and I have to say that Dolphin is the quiest, coolest running pump I've ever seen. No vibration, no real maintenance. I only know it's on by the watching the flow of water.....great pump!
