"Great Buy"

Comments: I was a bit hesitant to buy this because of the cost. However, after realizing how much I spent on the MP40 and the total cost of the inhabitants of my reef, it was a no brainer. If you have the Vortech pumps than I strongly advise you to spend the extra money on some sound insurance. I did a quick test and shut all power to my tank, without missing a single beat the mp40 went into battery mode. The battery pack weigh a ton and feels well made. I'm very happy with it.

"Great"

Comments: It works as advertised. The parts inside should be constructed intact because it feels like the parts move inside when you shake it. It should be solid as it is as a whole. A water change button would be nice.

Comments: this battery back-up is only for linkable ecotech marine wavemakers and led fixtures. just an FYI. This thing is solid and heavy. Makes you feel youve gotten your moneys worth. good investment for the money youve already put in your tanks. It would be nice if theyd put some sort of light on this so you can tell its charging or not since batteries dont last forever. other than that as expected.

Comments: If you care about your Aquarium and want to ensure its well being then this is an absolute must have. When the power goes out this unit keeps your Vortech going and going like the Energizer bunny! I have it hooked up to an MP10 and it will keep the water circulating in my tank for 3 days. Get this battery, plug it in and forget about it. One day you will be glad you did!!!

Comments: Lost power the backup worked as it's supposed to the first time, just lost power again tonight and it failed me. I spent way too much money on Eco tech products to have failures like this!

Comments: I have only tested for power loss but it worked like a champ. I had a heater go bad which flipped the braker I lost several fish and a few shrimp. Wish I would have had this sooner.

Comments: Item is smaller than I thought, but very heavy. You can anchor into wall fairly easy despite the weight. I cut my power off to test it and it works great. My only issue is the price. I think it could be cheaper. Vortech is a good company with great customer service. This battery is a great insurance policy.

"Seamless backup"

Comments: I have backup power supply blocks on all my equipment, but regular UPS units don't last long under the load. I bought this so that even if my regular backup failed, I could still have circulation in the tank for 72 hours. It works seamlessly--you can't even tell from the pump that there's ever been a slack in juice from the outlet.

<br />The unit is surprisingly heavy, but remains totally cool to touch and is completely silent. I find it extremely reassuring to have for blackouts.

"Awesome Product"

Comments: I purchased this product about 2 months ago. It has since saved me twice when I blew a circuit breaker. I came home and found everything still circulating and creating a good air exchange within the tank. Didn't lose one piece of livestock. It was super easy to install. Just one cord plugs into the wall and the other cord plugs into the 12v space on your driver. It was much larger than I thought and it weighs a ton. I don't mind the size or weight though. If anything it makes me feel like I bought a quality piece of equipment. It's about the size of a large textbook. Definitely worth every penny!
