Comments: color good at 1st, led modules started burning out after 4 months. After 6 months 1/3 of blue leds are burned out on both 19w strips. The magenta leds are still alive. Hopefully ecoxotic & marine depot will help me with this problem

"Very nice lights"

Comments: These lights are very bright and put out nice amount of color. I have 2 magenta/blue strips over my 46g bowfront along with 2 T5 HO lights. The corals glow and are doing very well. I plan on adding 2 445nm blue in the near future.

"Very Nice"

Comments: I like these LEDs quite a bit. They make my corals look great and so far everything is growing great. I like that these are waterproof and I was surprised that they didn't run very hot. Even after running all day on max brightness you can still touch the heat sync.

"Excellent LED system"

Comments: I have a 29 gallon Biocube I refitted with LED lighting. The Ecoxotic Modules were the most convenient for size & price. I am keeping SPS corals and let me tell you they are THRIVING under the Panorama LED lights!! Color is great, growth rate is visibly noticeable after only weeks! Tank temperature dropped 2 degrees once the LEDs were substituted for the original PC lighting. My electric bill actually dropped a few dollars per month. The Ecoxotic modules are well designed and well built and I would highly recommend them. My corals thank you Ecoxotic!

"Ecoxotic Pro LED"
- Product Review by David Rychalsky

Comments: I own two of the standard, non Pro Ecoxotic module and I prefer that style over the Pro style. I don't care for the loose fitting connection from the adapter to the module. I also don't like the brick style power adapter. I prefer the wall adapter. I also prefer the plastic "shield" over the LED's. Lastly, I like the raised base, like the standard modules, over the flat mount of the Pro. Unfortunately, this Pro module will spend it's life in my bottom drawer.

Comments: Over time watch out these led's burn out and they are only guarantee for one year. They say they will last 50000 hours, so good luck with these fixtures.

"Less than 1 year to burn out."
- Product Review by Michael Wiley

Comments: Bought them about the time they came out and installed them in the hood of my biocube, came in this morning and noticed the color of my tank was off, so I checked the lights thinking maybe one of the 3 modules came unplugged or something, and to my dismay almost all of the LEDs had burned out.Not just some, but the majority of the LEDs have burnt out. 4 out of 5 panorama Pro Modules that I purchased in the last year have some if not most of their LEDs burnt out. I'm very saddened by this since I'd recommended these lights to several people and have been bragging about how great they were only to discover this morning that they'd slowly been burning out on me without me noticing until now. I was wondering why I recently lost my Alveopora that was doing well for the last year or so, but I have a feeling that I now know what happened and that it wasn't getting enough light because they were burning out.

"What's not to like?"
- Product Review by Angelo Sanchez

Comments: The packaging is a plain jane carboard box with simple printed logo, which didn't set expectations high. The product is great though! The fixture is well made, light weight, simple, waterproof, sleek looking, and super-bright! The 12k/453nm combo is the perfect spectrum for my tastes as I am using this as a standalone light for a pico tank. Shimmer is amazing, and the spread is surprisingly very wide for LED without using the lens.

Only thing to watch out for is heat. It gets quite warm (~120deg F) when mounted by itself above the tank with ambient temp of 74f. If in any type of enclosure or warmer room it would likely need some active cooling (fan) to keep it within safe operating temp range.

"Very good so far..."
- Product Review by Omar Ortiz

Comments: These are very bright and, IMO, corals look better under these than under t5 lighting. You get a bit of a spotlight effect because the lenses disperse light within a limited area (these things are 12 inches long, not miracle workers). I have a 36 inch tank so I would have to have two inline strips in order to reach edge to edge. I actually want to to keep the tank a little darker in those areas for corals that desire less light, so that works for me. I have ordered a second one (magenta, 480nm) and am planning on a third (50/50).

"Good construction, great color"
- Product Review by Matthew Fischel

Comments: My 56g reef tank is completely dependent on 7 of theses Panorama modules. With x5 50/50s and x2 actinics my reef shimmers and pops like I was using MH bulbs, and I've seen better coral growth with these LEDs than with my x6 T5 bulbs. But You will need to have a fan or 2 in your canopy as the heat sinks get super hot but there is no added heat to the tank. The energy bill has also gone wway down as these LEDs operate at a fraction of the cost of T5s.
If your looking to get really crisp color in your tank I would recommend a 2:1 ratio white to blue. I.e for every two 50/50 LED modules- I would get one blue modules.
Also, get the linkable modules not the ones that come with individual transformers. Its so much easier to just daisy chain up to 3 strips and not have to worry about 3 outlets for each power strip.
Lastly, the reflectors make a noticeable difference- although not at all required- you can see the difference deeper in the tank.
One of the best things about these modules is that you can buy them in increments and not have to spend so much money all at once. That's what i did!
Over all my tank looks much more crisp and my corals much more happy with these LEDs than with my TEK T5 fixture. The shimmer is just amazing.

"Panoram Pro LED Module"
- Product Review by Patrick Dutkevitch
(Posted on 9/25/11)

Comments: Purchased two modules, one 12K white and a 445 blue, based on recomendation by Ecoxotic staff. Also purchased a transformer, splitter, and reflector. The modules replaced a 50/50 white/actinic CF bulb in a JBJ 28 NanoCube. Modules are really thin and solid. Shimmer and light penetration are unbelievable compared to the CF. I bought the reflector in case one module overpowered the other. The blue is really strong, not to my liking. Installed the reflector on the 12k module which directed more white light into the tank giving a better balance, but there is some "spotlight" effect. The modules ran a lot hotter than I anticipated, so in the canopy, fans are a must. That being said, I modified the JBJ canopy by cutting a square out of the top exposing the heatsinks to atmosphere, eliminating the fans. Rated a 4 instead of a 5 due to heat, and also lack of ability to run on a dimmer circuit. Great product, I plan on purchasing one more 12K to support LPS and SPS.

Comments: I got these to retrofit my BioCube 29 so i could put clams and other high light corals. Was very easy to retrofit, produces less heat than the PC's (though the heatsink does get a bit hot) and the light quality in awesome. Definitely a revolutionary product.

"Love it!"
- Product Review by Jeff Akers

Comments: I have a 48 inch wide, 100 gallon Bow front, 250+lbs live rock with refugium and double sump. One filled with 50+ lbs live rock. This is the start to going all LED for me. I am on a limited budget, so could not get "all" I wanted at one time. I can add to this system as I replace some of my old lighting. Always trying to improve my system! I think this upgrade will be a winner!
This Pro Panorama Led made all my flourescent corals pop!Found some small polyps I didnot know I had! I Love the glimmer effects. This is only one module with my Flourescent tube fixtures. The light spread is good, set in the center of my Custom wood canopy top about 5 inches off the top of the water, would be better if higher, but I know I need 2 lights of this spectrum, end to end with spacing of about 6 inches. I can't wait to add more modules in all different spectrums. Get the reflector! Well worth the price! I did expect the light bar to run a bit cooler than it does. about the same heat as the ballast on a 20 watt flourescent fixture. Quess I'll be keeping the fans!
Good product! Would be nice if it was dimmable!
