Eheim Plant Tongs 24 IN Information

When you think of gardening, the first thing you`ll probably think of is a small plot of land with growing plants, or maybe even a big meadow full of blooming flowers. Either way, you probably thought of land directly under the sun. You most likely didn`t think of underwater plants. But even if underwater plants aren`t the first things you thought of, they require as much gardening attention as their above-water counterparts. Aquatic plants also need maintenance and care just like the plants you often see. However, because of the fact that they are underwater, you need a different set of tools when taking care of them.

If you want to weed out your aquatic garden, make sure to have a pair of Eheim Plant Tongs from Pet Store. At two feet long - or a whopping 24 inches - this pair of tongs is much longer than regular tongs. This allows you to reach deeper areas inside your tank without getting your whole arm soaked up to the shoulder.

A pair of Eheim Plant Tongs is a must-have maintenance tool for aquatic gardening because it performs many tasks such as trimming, weeding and cutting. With just one tool, you can perform a variety of tasks.

Feature(s):
  • Ideal for general tank maintenance such as planting purposes, moving & arranging decorations, and more
  • Keeps you hands away inside the aquarium
  • Spring-action with trimmer
  • 24" (60cm), also available in 16" (40cm)

"Worth It" - Product Review by Mike Orozco (Posted on 8/8/12)

Excellent!

Comments: The packaging is really nice, Its a large box for some slim tongs. I like how sleek they are, I wa able to feed the New without sticking my whole hand in the tank. I also used these to rearrange some zoa frags, and pick up some snails. Great reach, and worth the price. Thanks

"Not Really for Plants" - Product Review by Christopher Roche (Posted on 11/28/08)

Average

Comments: I would recommend these for getting at hard to reach rocks or corals and maybe removing plants without getting your hands wet etc, but they are too large and clumsy and not precise enough to really be effective for plants, it's hard to control the clamping force, more like open and closed but otherwise they are a good tool to have.

"poor tongs" - Product Review by David Lee (Posted on 3/18/08)

Unsatisfactory

Comments: I thought this would be much better than it actually is. The tongs are not spring loaded so it's a hassle to keep the tongs open. You need dexterity of a surgeon to open and close the tongs. Also, this tongs are very flimsy and I do not foresee this thing lasting too long. For the price, this could have been much better.

"extend a finger" - Product Review by Stephanie Morgan (Posted on 1/9/08)

Great!

Comments: This is an excelent extend a reach tool. No metal springs or parts to rust and it is quite durable. Although it does not handle heavy objects well, it does have a better reach than most others.
