Elos Aqua Test Kit - pH Marine Information

Product Manuals & Documentation

Do you often find it difficult to keep the physical and chemical make-up of your tank water in equilibrium, using the usual de-nitrifiers and refugium? Are you having some trouble with preventing the liquid from becoming too acidic or alkalic? If this is the case, then you may want to try the Elos Aqua Test Kit - pH Marine Pet Store. This product provides you with a set, which encourages you to test for the content of your water at home. This is an ideal substitute to chemicals, which can do more than good in terms of the safety and health of your fish.

This product comes in the form of a kit, which is comprised of several packets of reagents, as color chart, and a couple of test tubes to get samples. It is quite easy to use. You just have to collect a little amount of water from the tank, mix it with the special compounds, wait for a few seconds, and refer to the wheel with regards to the results that you will get. In case you need more help with the experimentation, an instruction guide is cleverly printed on the packaging.

With the Elos Aqua Test Kit - pH Marine, you can be confident that your tank water is a suitable place for your fish to live in.

ELOS AQUA TEST KIT- PH MARINE

The pH value or acid value indicates how acidic or alkaline the water is. It is a measure of the concentration of the acidic or alkaline components in a hydrous solution. Pure water will react neutral and has a pH-value of 7.0. If the acidic components are predominant, the pH value will drop below 7.0. If the basic components are predominant, the pH-value will rise above 7.0.

The saltwater aquarium pH-value is considered between 8.1 and 8.4 pH which is the value found in natural seawater. Many organisms in a saltwater aquarium are very sensitive swings in pH value or values away from the acceptable range so a regular check on the pH-level is necessary to note and to avoid any negative development.

ELOS AquaTest pHM, as well as all the other colorimetric test kit of this line, grant very high precision thanks to several procedures like the use of “RealColor” technology, an accurate system to calibrate the color chart compared to the reagents; the validation of each reagent with NIST (National Institute of Standard and Technology) certified samples and the careful stock management to supply to our customers ONLY the freshest production batch. ELOSAquaTest pH M shows a range of 8.1 to 9.0 pH-units.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Easyreading: “RealColor” technology.
  • Highprecision: thanks to the use of calibrated dropper
  • NISTvalidation: each batch of elos reagents is validated using NIST(National Instituteof Standard and Technology) samples
  • "Safereagents": reagents and testing procedures are based on Low Risk Reagents. None of our test kits are based on Toxic Reagents.

Comments: I bought this kit as a "2nd opinion" to my primary Salifert PH test kit. It's extremely easy to read and takes 30 seconds to test. In fact, THIS kit became my primary PH tester and the Salifert kit became the secondary kit. I highly recommend this!

Comments: Very good color scale. Clear difference between 7.7, 7.9, 8.1, 8.3, and 8.5 on the color chart. No doubts, unlike others I've tried. They also fixed the vial cap issue. Before, the caps were very difficult to put on the vials.

Comments: Works fast, only a single chemical. Add 5 drops, shake and compare. The color chart goes from 7.5 to 8.5 and determining the color gradients are very easy. Kinda spendy (I paid $17), but I'd buy it again.
