<br />I was thinking about getting the cheaper flipping cleaner I've seen, but it had mediocre reviews. Flipper had good reviews on threads I read, so was hoping you "get what you pay for"....and gotta say....you do with this for sure! I have a 130g bow-front with 1/2" Starphire glass and the magnets are plenty strong.

<br />I had several areas with heavy corraline growth due to lack of access with my older cleaner. Flipper is very thin, so I was able to get into those tight spots and the metal blade took out the corraline in 2-3 swipes. Was also able to get to a rim of growth at the substrate line and at water line that has been there forever. Anyway, tank now looks as new as the day I bought it!!

<br />The pad side is softer than most cleaners. It works well for the film algae (actually nice for that since it cleans more like a soft cloth). For any harder algae, no doubt have to flip over to the scraper.

<br />One word of advice. The flipping is Not intuitive. I thought I could just flip it no problem, but....nope. Had to read the instructions and really only figured it out well after watching their video a couple of times. Now can flip like a pro :).

<br />Bottom line: I've had many cleaners and this is the best by far!

Comments: Found the price, very affordable. Like the fact that the razor edge is a permanent attachment. Very easy to turn over to the cleaner side.

<br />You need a Little more effort to get off the purple buildup, otherwise its a great all around glass cleaner.

Comments: Works as advertised! I had been putting off cleaning the coraline algae off of the glass, because I didn't want to put my arm in the tank (again)! But, this thing took care of that, you just drop it in and go after the coraline like you would diatoms with your ordinary magnet. The only advice that I have is to stay away from the silicone, if you have a glass tank. That stainless blade looks like it could cause a leak if you weren't careful! I have not figured out the "flipper" feature yet, I just bring it to the top and flip it manually. Big deal! It's easy.
