- Product Review by Torsten Wedel
(Posted on 7/10/12)
-
Comments: The service provided by Customer Service was exceptional; however, if you look for a powerhead for a reef tank with the intention to move your water stay away from this weak powerhead. This head doesn't even push a 30g tank, my return feeds push more and stronger currents then this powerhead. I will be using this powerhead for my watermixing or something else.... I recomment a EcoTech Marine MP10 from Vortech

Comments: I'm very pleased with the equipment up until the arrival of these heads I was using the 750 model but because of the size of my tank which is a 40 gallon saltwater tank I had too much motion going on in the tank. These 2, 240 models fit the build perfectly.

"Great design"
- Product Review by Matt Appleton
(Posted on 4/17/12)

Comments: Really like this powerhead as it is the only one offered in a low GPH. 240GPH is perfect for my 36" long tank. I tried the lowest GPH that aqueon makes which is 500GPH and it made my tank into a toilet bowl.

Comments: This would be great for a small tank! I made the mistake and purchasing two of these powerheads for my 75 gallon tank and there way to small! What a waist of money! The water flow from these powerheads is not very strong at all! Could not hardly tell they were on when they are running!

"Nano 425's on a wavemaker"
- Product Review by Joe Destefano
(Posted on 12/8/11)
-
Comments: I like the small size and they put out good flow. I have four in a 40 breeder on a wave maker and they work great, plenty of flow for a mixed reef. they do make a bit of noise on start-up but it is tolerable. If your looking for a silent start up these are not the pump. Once running they are completly silent. Note: I had the old style nano and it did not work on a wavemaker. The new ones are doing ok so far.

"nano 425gph"
- Product Review by Karey Sharp
(Posted on 11/8/11)
-
Comments: I bought 2 of the 425gph pumps to improve circulation in a 50g reef. They are smaller than I expected and easy to hide, but I did not get the flow that I was hoping for. In a 50g tank these pumps will work great for dead spots, but not for primary circilation. I would say that they would be perfect for a 40g or less. The magnetic suction mounts keep these things put. With all that being said,I did place 1 of the pumps in a 10g fuge and it is almost to much flow. Nice compact circulation pump for 40g or less IMO.

"So far so good"
- Product Review by Charles L Harris
(Posted on 9/23/11)
-
Comments: I bought two of these for my new 20 gal saltwater reef tank. I took the time to read reviews about these so I was careful when I attached the pumps to the magnet/suction cup fitting, I can see where you could easily break the very small plastic ball/swivel, I took the advise I read and put a small dab of dish soap on the swivel first and carefully worked it into the fitting - no problem whatsoever with that approach (I made sure to wash them off of course before putting in the tank). Installation in tank was really easy, the magnets really help and hold these pumps securely. There is a limited range of direction, not bad though - I have one on one end of the tank pointed diagonally upward and the other on opposite side going diagonally downward. I think these provide the perfect amount of flow for this size tank, and they are silent in operation. As long as they last a good while I will be a happy customer - time will tell, it's only been 2 weeks but other reviews seem say these are reliable pumps.

Comments: I bought two of these for my 20 Gallon High Nano aquarium. They are absolutely perfect. No problem with installation and the magnet/suction cup attachment is genius! The move water perfectly and I don't have to worry about the suction cup losing suction because the magnet and suction cup on the other side will keep it in place.

"Why does it reverse"
- Product Review by Hollie Gilcrease
(Posted on 9/4/11)
-
Comments: I love this pump. I bouught 2 large ones for my 125 gal reef and have started haveing a problem with it reversing flow. Instead of pushing the water out, it sucks it in! At first if I unplugged and plugged it in repeatedly it would reverse and work correctly. Oe it would work fine at the sink, but as soon as I move it to the tank, it would reversd. Frustrating. Today I just couldn't get it to reverse. Had to put in my old rio and order a new one. Want to know why it happened and what I can do to keep it from happening to the new one and the one I still have in the tank. But it is a great pump.

Comments: Seems to be a good little pump for my 11 gal SW tank, appears to be decent flow. Nice and small in size which was important for me. Not a lot of space taken from it. Adjusting the directional flow could be a lot better. But it is good. I would buy another one. Might be to small flow wise for anything larger than 15 gallons.

Comments: Love these powerheads. This is the second Koralia I've bought and can say that for the price, you can't beat these. I've seen an experiment that tested the actual output vs. advertised output and the Koralias came out at advertised or above. I love the design too. They're so sleek and look awesome, without sacrificing performance. Would recommend these to ANYONE with a tank less than 100 gal. Love how they come in extremely high to extremely low gph. The 250 was PERFECT for my 6.5 gal Fluval.

"plenty of flow for small size"
- Product Review by Shaun Morris
(Posted on 4/24/10)
-
Comments: I bought this powerhead to replace my original koralia nano (which I modified for more flow). I am using this powerhead in a nanocube 12 gallon and it works great if the powerhead is pointed at the surface. pointing it at the surface creates a nice dispersed flow around the tank. It would be too much flow to point at the sand or directly at corals.

"Perfect for a Nano Tank."
- Product Review by Andy Stipe
(Posted on 4/20/10)
-
Comments: I bought this circulation pump to replace my old Koralia 1 that I had in my Nano Cube. The smaller size of the nano is perfect for smaller nano tanks. My only complaint is that you have to attach the suction cup to the pump when you take it out of the box. There is a red plastic ball and stem that you have to push into a small hole on the suction cup. This plastic ball can easily bend and break if you are not careful. Mine broke off right away with little force. I used glue to re-attach the ball to the pump. I recommend that you put a tiny drop of soap or type of lube on the ball before installing the suction cup.

Comments: I already have a bigger Koralia Powerhead in my 75 AGA, but wanted something to move the water a little more in my 56 Marineland. So I gave this little guy a try. I wanted something small enough so I could easily conceal behind the rock and this did the trick. I would have liked a little more flow and may purchase a second for the opposite side of the tank.
