Comments: I do not see any increased flow, the accelerator just changes water pattern. Instead of straight flow, you get a wave, or circular flow. It will not eliminate power heads. I have a mag 18 running through a chiller and then to the tank on a 90 gallon DSA tank. I have another 100 gallon show tank,split discharges and two power heads.

Comments: vortex works great but they were a little short! a little flex tubing with some connectors and they work great

Comments: This thing definitely accelerates flow rate. In fact, I have to take it off when doing a water change because water splashes out of my tank. I used the 1" accelerator for a fluval fx-5 that runs a 110g tank. I gave it 4 stars because I would have liked more loc-line so that i could do a 90 degree angle. 1" loc-line is nonexistent.

Comments: I used 4 of these in my 125 gallon reef along with a SCWD and I have incredible water movement. Thanks to these amazing pieces of plastic I don't have to waste money and space on wavemakers.

Comments: Installed two 1/2" Vortex Accelerators back wall of my 300 gallon reef, each powered by a Rio 2100. Just a best guess seems to of incresed the outlet flow pressure by 1/3. Quality built product could of been made a little longer for better water control placement. Will be ordering 4 more 3/4" Istas Vortex Water Flow Accelerators each running off a Rio 3100 for the simi closed loop part of my reef build. Hope this helps:)

Comments: It doesn't blast one spot. It creates a large area of current that is still pretty strong.

<br />The nozzel is very large. I suspect that's why they only included 2 joint sections. Because of this it has limited range of motion (about 90deg.)but stays put and doesn't droop. I made an over the edge adapter for it out of PVC parts that pointed about 45degrees from the back of the tank. That way I could point it about anywhere I want.

Comments: This item worked great in my tank. Used it on my return line from my sump. My water flow is much better.

Comments: Good Evening, I buy this Ista Vortex Water Flow Accelerators MPT in 3/4 inch and really work. The water flow was increase, not 400%, but is better now.

Comments: I bought 2 of the 1/2" MPT Accelerator, the connectors were a too short in length for my tank so I took the connections from one and placed them on the other, too lengthen it. I bought another 6" of 3/4" lockline (the tradmark stuff) and attached it to the 1/2" MPT that was remaining so that I could get length on both Vortex Nozzles, but the lockline and the original from the purchase have a very loose connection. The Nozzles work great!!! but any attachments may cause problems. I rate these high (4 stars)because the flow is excellent. Just wish that the connections were better interchangeable. Nice product by its self though, I would purchase again, but would have to keep in mind the short length.
