Comments: Been running for five days and I have not noticed a difference. Also this unit is a lot larger than I thought it would be. I would not use it in anything less than a 20 gallon tank

Comments: I have not used UV filter before. We have a small 40 gallon fr3eshwater tank. Been battling aklgae for some time. A fish store clerk recommended this...worked like a charm. easy insatall and water was crystal clear in a few days. No problem with shorting out like I had seen reported. I HIGHLY recommend this!

Comments: THIS ITEM IS FAIR.I AM SURE THAT IS DOES WHAT IT SAYS IT DOES,BUT THE SPONGE PREFILTER SHOULD BE REPLACED EVERY MONTH.I HAVE TO TAKE IT OUT EVERY WEEK TO RINSE IT OFF AND IT IS DIFFICULT TO PUT IT BACK IN.BOTTOM LINE IT IS NOT USER FRIENDLY.

Comments: Just hours after use my water is more clear. Easy to use, comes ready to go. The filter is easy to replace. The only thing I don't like is the fact that the cord is a bit too short to get a good drip look going and also, the filter has a plug in for the UV light but it seems like it's European as the plug that comes with the unit won't fit. Overall I would highly recommend this product

Comments: The JBJ Submariner was perfect for my set-up. My sump does not have any extra room and I did not want to plumb anything. The Submariner was submerged in the back corner of my 100 gallon marine tank and was not too offensive. Within a day the cloudy algae bloom that would start to build up as the day went on was completely gone. So far, I give this product 5 stars as it did what it claimed to do and was very easy to set up. Hopefully the once a month maintenance will not be too bad, as it seems very easy to take apart.

Comments: I had a terrible issue with "green water". I was skeptical about this being a silver bullet, especially sinking this amount of money into a biocube. It took about 3 days to completely resolve the issue (slowly got better), but the water has been crystal clear ever since. This has been worth every penny.
