"Nice but"

Comments: I like these powerheads and the flow is great. The screw that attaches the head to the base is cheap and fragile. I can see it breaking very easily and then you are out of luck. It is a design flaw for sure.

"efficient quality"

Comments: I have searched many places for this kind of quality and found no products capable of the job without triple the price tag or a great deal of noise. I have read many product reviews and spoken to a number of aquarius about other products. All of them fail in one of 2 catagories: price (over charging because of a name printed on the side does not make a product better), and quality (the vast majority of powerheads in this same catagory have all been said to either be too noisy or break the shaft within just a couple weeks). Quite, durable, cost effective. I found a product worthy of recommendation.

"Fantastic"

Comments: What a great powerhead! Everything about it is solid, great instructions, packed well, and it does a great job diverting flow. At 1600 gph it creates a great current not a jet stream.

I knocked one star off because the power consumption is 23 watts compared to some competitors but I can't speak on the quality difference.

Comments: Good for the $. Connector from mount to ph is really cheap and flimsy. Mine broke while adjusting. Had to super glue it. Not cool. That issue needs to be fixed.

"The Truth about JBJ"
- Product Review by Alfredo Farina

Comments: So first let me tell you this pump does do its job, it moves water in one relatively wide stream, but you can't point it to your corals or rock work since the flow is too strong, its great as a current. This PH (Power head) is a bit bulky, so keep that in mind when you purchase it. The second thing that you need to be aware is that the connector between the power head and the magnet on the wet side is FLIMSY and of very LOW quality, mine broke during shipment, but not to worry contacted retailers customer service and right away got a replacement on the way. It still didnt solve the issue that you construction of that particular piece is just bad, so you have to set it up before you get it wet, and once you have it pointed in the direction you want it just let it be. Overall if you cant afford a more expensive PH this one does do the job. Its a great example that you get what you pay for

Comments: I have it a short time and have found the cord to be to short and it increased my water temp by a few degrees, It runs very quiet and i like the water movement in the tank. i guess there are pro's and cons with any power head and have tried others with other pro and cons.

"Nice but not strong"

Comments: The pump is priced great and looks very nice. A little bit bulky but still looks good. If you are looking for a powerful pump this is not it. There is no way this pump would be good on a 100 gallon tank. More like a 40 breeder. This pump does not seem like it pumps out 1600 gph. A good feature though is that it is virtually silent. 3/5 for pump not being too strong.

Comments: Only issue I had with the product was magnet for outside of tanks felt sticker pad wasn't on there very good and left gooey residue on my glass easy to clean but whenever I go to move the power-head I have to wipe up the residue of glue goo.

Comments: I have attached them to a 3/4 acrylic panel and was worried that the magnet wouldn't hold when i ordered them. NO worries! they are not going any where! beyond a little noise i have heard them produce, they are working great. I have have on JBJ's wave maker system and its been great. an afforable way to get great results.
