Comments: Performs as advertised. Way better than a Turkey Baster! Larger pieces of Mysis get stuck but no big deal! Works very good for feeding Corals and Aneomes!

Comments: I really like that you can extend the wand to easily get anywhere in the tank. I just wish it was easier to take apart to clean. Easier to adjust how much is coming out to feed your corals or fish. I would buy again!

"An Everyday tool"
- Product Review by Christine Santos
(Posted on 6/27/12)

Comments: I bought this handy feeding tool two years ago in anticipation of using it to target feed sea horses, never got the sea horses but I still use it everyday. Its a bit pricey but has been very reliable. It works perfectly for stirring my sand-bed, blowing stuff off the rocks, delivering pellets/brine shrimp/cylop-eeze/ Nutrimar-Ova to my fish and corals. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the tip is a little too small to accommodate large mysis shrimp like that in PE Mysis, other than that I would definitely count it as one of my best purchases.

- Product Review by David Kerns

Comments: I bought this with the intention of using it to feed my lps mysis shrimp. I didn't realize the opening on the feeder end was so small. With a little modification though it work very well. Bored the hole out with my dremel and now it's plenty big. I can easily reach all of my lps toward the bottom of the tank and give them all even portions all with out having to stick my arm in the tank.

Comments: This product is very functional and I especially liked the pick on the end that made feeding my anemone a snap! I did however cut the end to make a larger hole for feeding with adult frozen brine shrimp.

"Sea Squirt"
- Product Review by Andrew Sturgeon
(Posted on 3/15/11)

Comments: It works fine for reaching deep into the tank. I wish the end opening was slightly larger as it does get clogged up with small mysis shrimp. But pressing the bulb a few times always seems to clean it out.

Comments: My son bought one of these--yikes--drove me crazy. I just got the baster from the kitchen that never gets used any more. I cleaned it well, and then used it. So quick, so easy, and so inexpensive. I use it to target feed! Why spend so much money, when you can use a plastic 4 cup measuring cup and a baster?!

"Only for Very Small Food"
- Product Review by Robin Lynn
(Posted on 8/14/10)
-
Comments: I bought the Sea Squirt to feed mysis shrimp to my anemone. However, I can't use it for that because the hole on the end of the feeder is so small the shrimp are too big to fit through. This tool really only works with very small foods like cyclopeeze, oyster eggs or powered food. It could probably useful for feeding sea fans or zoanthids, but I've ended up only using it to blow detritus out of rock crevices.

"Okay not great for feeding eel"
- Product Review by Jeffrey Wilens
(Posted on 4/30/10)
-
Comments: Got this just to feed eels in the 36" tall tank. It's okay but the "prong" part is basically toothpick sized attachment that can be locked in the down position exetended. However the attachment is retractable so it tends to close when pressed down to impale the food. I couldn't find a better alternative which would be a thinner acrylic rod with a stronger prong to attach frozen food to or even little clips at the end to hold the food.

"Starfish feeding"
- Product Review by Christy Young
(Posted on 2/28/10)
-
Comments: PROS: 1.Length keeps our hands out of the water and helps us reach the starfish in hard to reach areas. 2. Allows us to hold the food next to the starfish until he moves over it or grabs it.
<br />CONS: 1. It's difficult to get the solid food off of the "skewer" - you have to kind of drag it off without the starfish losing it. 2. I can't skewer the solid food with one hand. I have to hold the skewer with one to keep it from retracting and then skewer the food with the other while holding the tube with my arm. Maybe I don't have a hang of it.
<br />Overall, it is helping us feed the starfish without getting wet so I like it very much for that. We will keep using it and hopefully it will get easier.

"Works better than expected"
- Product Review by David Leibman
(Posted on 8/18/09)
-
Comments: This feeding "prong" is great...durable, easy to clean, and keeps my hands out of my aquarium. Besides the syringe/turkey baster type of feature, it also has an extendable plastic spear for solid food.
<br />
<br />The only complaint is that my "spear" (which looks rather like a plastic toothpick from a Swiss Army knife) won't stay fully retracted when I use the device as a squirt feeder. But it really doesn't interfere.

"Kent Marine Nautilus Sea Squir"
- Product Review by Evan Bogdon
(Posted on 4/13/09)
-
Comments: Makes spot feeding my corals even easier than using a regular turkey baster. Before I had this I had to put my hands in the tank to feed corals, not I don't have to since this extends to 35". I think a few others said it, but the only reason this didn't receive a 5/5 from me is because it doesn't have a syringe. Overall though I'm very happy with it and was glad I got 20% off!

"COOL TOOL"
- Product Review by Malcolm Maclaren
(Posted on 2/27/09)
-
Comments: This is just what you need to get food past the greedy guys at the top and down to the bottom fish and invertebrates that are patiently waiting for something to fall through to them. I used my Dremel tool to grind a little off the tip as I found that the opening was a bit too small in diameter even for adult brine shrimp.

Comments: I love this product,I dont have to stick my hands in the tank and it holds enough food to do the job I recommend using the method of drawing the food with the tube extension instead of the bulb you have more control. I dont use the prong no need with the fish and coral that I have.

"indespensible"
- Product Review by John Pfeiffer
(Posted on 7/15/08)
-
Comments: I've had it for several months. Suction is great. I sliced off a bit of the tip so I can use it with mysis shrimp as they are too big to fit through the narrow hole. I like the bulb as you can easily suck more water in to mix up the food. Therefore, I disagree with some comments that it would be better with a plunger instead of bulb.

Comments: I've only owned it for about a weak, but I do like this feeder alot. It's solidly built and the telescoping feature has turned out to be pretty handy. I haven't noticed the suction being week as previously mentioned, but I do feel that it's difficult to get the inside really clean which is the only reason it gets four stars instead of five.

"Sea Suirt Feeding Prong"
- Product Review by Denise Mclean
(Posted on 1/28/08)
-
Comments: I absolutely love this feeding prong. I use to use syringes for target feeding, no more. Also, this is
<br />10 times easier to clean than syringes. If you don't think so, try it. "I will agree with John's comment
<br />"If I could make one change on this product, it would be to change the bulb for a syringe-style top. There is more than enogh room in the tube to hold a great deal of food. With a syringe style top, relaxing your hand doesn't mean sucking water back into the tube and the food would be ready for that instant when you want to deliver it. The calibration marks on the retractible tube might then be more useful". Other than that great point, I love this feeding prong. I have always wanted one, now I'm glad I actually did purchase one.

"Nice Reach"
- Product Review by Christopher Sanchez
(Posted on 10/8/07)
-
Comments: I bought this to feed some of my more demanding corals in my 500 gallon reef. The Nautilus does what it says that it will however my only complaint is that it is very hard to clean. It also have poor suction after you remove the squirter from the food cup so you have to use your finger to keep everything from coming out. Good product, especially for the price, my two complaints I think are standard for any feeder and not just his particular brand.

"Sea Squirt does the job"
- Product Review by John Pittenger
(Posted on 8/13/07)
-
Comments: The sea squirt works fine for its intended application. The extendable feature makes it very convenient for feeding the bottom of my 30" tank without the awkwardness of feeding near the top. I like keeping my hands dry! The feeding prong has not been useful yet, but it's there for when the need may come up. A grabber or clip might have been better, although I don't know how that would be operated. The narrow nozzle makes it possible to precisely deliver the food. It's also handy for water-blasting sand or debris off of things.
<br />
