Free your aquarium from water pollution fast and easy with the Kent Marine Reef Carbon from
Pet Store. It attacks dirt, water pollutants and toxic gases in both marine and freshwater tanks by using a fine bituminous coal-based activated carbon. This super activated carbon contains high levels of iodine and molasses. The pelletized carbon has small pore ranging from 20 to 2,000 angstrom, which can eliminate big organic molecules. It has less ash (0.2%), which can be tolerated by discus and other sensitive species.
The Kent Marine Reef Carbon is safe to use even in extremely sensitive reef systems. It does not encourage the growth of harmful algae, and it does not leach phosphates. It does not cause clogging like other brands of pellet or granular carbons. It performs more efficiently and effectively than coconut shell and other types of carbon.
The Kent Marine Reef Carbon is easy to use. Just rinse a cup (approximately 1/4 of a pound) of the pellets in 100 gallons of running water. Do this by placing the carbon in a bag or chamber with mesh or filter and let water flow directly through the pellets. It is recommended that this reef carbon should be restored once a month in
freshwater tanks. In marine tanks, use this carbon intermittently.
Description: Removes organic pollutants, stains, and entrained toxic gases in marine and freshwater aquariums or ponds. Contains the finest pelletized activated bituminous coal based carbon. Pore size is in the 20 to 2,000 Angstrom range, ideally suited for removal of large organic molecules. Super activated with very high iodine and molasses numbers. Less than .2% ash making it suitable for sensitive species such as discus. Will not leach phosphates or promote undesirable algae growth, suited to sensitive reef systems! Engineered for water flow, will not clog easily like small granular or pelleted carbons. Out performs any carbon especially coconut shell!
