"Great So Far"

Comments: The Kessil 350W was purchased one week ago to replace a 400w MH in my SPS Frag tank (22x18x8). It appears to be a very high quality build. After running 11 hours the unit is luke-warm and the power unit moderately warm. The light output does not appear as bright at the 400w to the eye, but the frags have responded well and the heat is dramatically lower. I may try to borrow a light meter to see the variance. The two controls work very well and it was extremely easy to mount. It is very small and lightweight. Extremely happy with the product so far and may purchase additional 350's for main tank. I tried it over a 72x30x24 deep show tank and the width of the 350w required it to be placed about 5 inches above the water line in order to avoid casting light outside the tank. I would recommend the 350w if you need to be close to the water or for frag tanks/shallow use. The regular 350 should be used for the main tank.

Comments: I have a rimless 105 gallon SPS /LPS reef set up.Needed some high powered ,adjustable LEDs.The Kessils were perfect for my tank.I didn't want to hang the lights from the ceiling,so the Goose neck option was perfect.I went with 3 A350W,which is overkill for a 48x24x20 tank, but gave me great flexibility in my adjustments and no dead spots for my SPS.I only wish my Apex controller can control the dimming function ,to simulate dawn and dusk. The new high end LEds all seem to ave this feature. So far corals are happy and tank stays cooler than having halides.Very quiet lights, have to put ear right next to them to hear them.

Comments: Kessil has raised the bar in aquarium LEDs These lights are BAD-ASS ! I have 2 A350W over my 75 Gallon and they look AWSOME! They came well-packaged and from the first moment you open the box you know you have a quality product.
I was deciding on the EcoTech Radions or the AI SOL

"Great Buy"

Comments: These lights are amazing. Just purchased 2 350 Kessil Tuna Blue Dimmable Special Blend LED's and I certainly have nothing but rave reviews for this product, from the product itself, to the shipping and the customer service experience. This is my first purchase of LED lighting for my 125 gallon tank and there was a lot of research involved in determining which product was going to be the most effective and at the most competitive price. After much deliberation I decided to purchase the Kessil LED's and would like to say that this was by far the best decision I could have made. The shimmer that is produced from the lighting on my tank is indescribable and if someone is looking for the shimmer effect this is certainly the product to buy. The ability to control the spectrum of lights as well as ease of installation made this purchase a no brainer. I will recommend these lights to all of my friends or anyone considering LED's for their reef.

Comments: Upon setting up the light I was skeptical it would cover all of my 36"L 65Gal. At 10" above the water line it covers more than enough. The shimmer effect is better than my old MHs and my corals really respond to the deep blue wave. The ability to adjust both lights will let you dial in the perfect blue level for your taste. I would recommend this to anyone looking to add or upgrade their lighting to an LED.

"Awesome Light!"

Comments: I've been running this light over a 24g nano for a little over a month and a half. After running both MH an T5 for years over this same exact tank I can clearly see the Kessil is superior to them both. The first and foremost difference I can see is the happiness and color of my corals, I never achieved such color and growth out of any other light until I added the A350 (this is coming from somebody who swore off LEDs for years) as for the concern people have for growing sps under this light, all I can say that in my system all my sps have stayed colored up and than some under this light, the growth and encrustation is starting to take off now that I have been running this light for almost 2 months all the acros have acclimated to the change. I have also noticed incredible growth with my chalices and favias under this light, much better than T5 and equal or superior to MH as far as growth is concerned, with me leaning heavily toward superior growth.

Comments: This light is the best led for the price and then even some more. I have had a few led lights and this one is by far the one for me all my corals love it, even my green bulb anemone loves it. This light has little noise and puts off a little bit of heat but other than those small factors I would highly recomened this light for any sized tank...

Comments: I love this light! It looks amazing over my 34g rimless cube and the ability to fine tune the color makes it even better! This would be even better if it was controllable for a dawn/dusk effect. Overall I'm very happy! Also a side note... Kessil's customer service is awesome! Another reason to buy this light!

"Took LED Plunge!"
- Product Review by William Pernett

Comments: Ok..I have a 180 gallon reef and for the last 5 years I had been using a Hamilton Pro system with 4 96W compacts and three 250W MH. Big Problems with heat, power consumption, and bulb replacement costs, but overall a good lighting system. So I decide to take the plunge into LED technology and I felt from the reviews and online videos that Kessil is my best choice for cost and quality. Another factor is the science that Kessil puts into their products over other manufactures (see their website and check out the hydroponics technology). My tank has 72" X 24" of coverage so I opted to purchase 3 of the A350W (wide angle) to cover the surface. Tank is 24" deep so according to Kessil this light should work for me. Lights were preordered and arrived about a week later. Packaging was great and shipped quickly once in stock. Lights Review: Let me just say that it took me about a day to completely intall the lights as my old system had to come out and I have a ventilated 15" high hood. I unpacked and checked all the lights and everything worked. I also used the A350 goose neck mounts which are pretty slick and I opted not to hang the lights from the top of the hood but attach the goose neck mounts to a 2" X 1" strip of wood mounted to the wall behind the tank.My hood just sits down over the lights with plenty of room. Each of the three Kessils sit about six inches above the water and I used zip ties to secure the power cable to the goose neck. I also mounted the power supplies on top of the 2 X 1 and agaist the wall using double sided 3M tape making it a pretty clean install even though it will not be visble after putting my hood back on the tank.Light coverage is as advertised. The wider lens on the A350W works for my tank well. I have a few SPS up high on the reef that have responded well to the lights after only a few days. The rest of my LPS that are lower in the tank are starting to respond. The tunibility of these lights are what sold me over the 150's. Both channels can be used to tune any degree between 10K and 15K. So far these are great lights, but the reason that I gave the Kessils only 4 stars instead of 5 are:1. I have only had the lights up and running for a few days and have just not had enough time to evaluate them fully. Also this is a new product with limited reviews.2. The lights do put out some heat. Granted it is not a lot of heat, and definitly less than my old set up but I am running three units and it makes it a bit warm. The power supplies get very hot! I am going to have to consider mounting them underneath and outside the stand in order to decrease my heat load near the top of the tank. I did place a small fan in the hood just to move some additonal air but I don't think it is really needed. My hood is open at the back and has big vents cut in the sides. On the positive side I am really hoping that 270W of light use with the 3 Kessils will lower my electric bill from the 1500W that my old sytem was using. My chiller runs to keep the tank 80 and I have noticed it not turning on as much as before the Kessils.MH users beware: The Kessil LED lights are not as bright as what you will be accustomed to with your MH. The shimmer is intense but the overall brightness is much more subdued to the human eye. There are what appears to be more shadowing under the reef that with my old set up but makes the light look natural.Overall the product looks and feels well built and engineered. I am looking forward to not having to buy replacement bulbs every 6 to 12 months anymore and hopeful I will lower my electric bill. The proof of this being a successful purchase for me will be the Kessil's longevity, durability, and most of all success keeping my reef happy.

Comments: i put this on a 90 gal. sps tank. previously i was running two 250 watt,14k, halides. i replaced one of the halides with this LED. there is no comparison, the halide side of the tank is very dull in comparison. the corals are just as happy and have atouch more collar. i just ordered the second LED to replace the other halide. two of these are perfect for a four foot 90 gal tank.

"NICE!"
- Product Review by Jeffrey Locklear

Comments: I replaced my "Current" lighting system; 2-250w Halide,4-t5 40w hood with 2 of the Kessil 350w LED's, and, not only is the color superior, but MORE IMPOTRANTLY,the water temperture does not rise, and the LED'S use only 25% of electricty as the Halide and T-5 set up!.... The mounting arms were not in stock, so I made a support of 2*1's screwed into the side of my stand. made a frame, and hung the lights appx.12 in. from top of tank.

Comments: Wow is all I can say, this light rocks. I am so glad that I can now look into my tank from the top and not have to move a hood out of the way.
The cords they give you are very long so you wont have a problem keeping the cords out of the way. I hung mine from the ceiling with some picture wire, no need for the gooseneck :). The dimmable feature is great. The blue is a very deep blue and the white is a crisp white, together it gives off a blue tint. It also shimmmers in the water very nicely so it really makes it look like its a real reef with sunlight coming down. I have mine on a 57g rimless illuminata about a foot and half above it and have no problem with the light coverage. This is an outstanding light recommended to all.
