Lifegard Aquatics R172036 Silicone Lubricant O.75oz Information

An aquarium is made up of more than a tank, water, and some fish. An aquarium has many parts to keep it running smoothly. There`s the filtration system to keep the aquarium clean. There`s the piping to make water transfer easier. There`s the water pump that circulates water for improved oxygenation -- and so on and so forth. It`s easy to see that an aquarium is really a machine with lots of movable parts. Once any one of these parts stops working, the whole aquarium gets affected. Thus, like any machine, keep your aquarium well-greased -- or more aptly put, lubricated, using the Lifegard Aquatics R172036 Silicone Lubricant from Pet Store.

This lubricant is completely safe to use with aquariums. It works with aquariums using O-rings fitted into their connected pipes. It can also be used on gaskets, rubber seals, and any area where corrosion can occur. This lubricant greases up the treaded connectors used in aquarium equipment and other parts in plumbing to prevent cracking and breaking. It effectively prevents any leak that can happen because of brittle seals and connections.

The Lifegard Aquatics R172036 Silicone Lubricant is completely safe and harm-free to fish, plants and other aquatic creatures. It has no petroleum, too, to ensure safety.

Lifegard Aquatics Silicone Lubricant 0.75 oz.

"AMAZING" - Product Review by Tina Pauley (Posted on 2/8/11)

Excellent!

Comments: I purchased 2 brand new Nu-Clear canister filters and could NOT get them to stop leaking (after MANY tries) they sent me a bottle of this and with the smallest amount on the o-rings the leaks stopped instantly. Filter have been running leak free for 5 months. Still not sure why new filters needed lubing but I am sold on this product and have been using it on all my o-ring. It seems too thin to work and yet IT DOOES. Plus the bottle seals up nicely as opposed to the tubes others come in. I use a Q-tip to dispense it. Great Product.

"Great stuff" - Product Review by Ray Wyatt (Posted on 8/15/10)

Excellent!

Comments: I use it all the time when cleaning my pumps. I put it on the treads and the next time I disassemble the pump, the cover comes right off. I use it on the impeller shaft as well.
I also put a little on the inside of the hose when inserting the fittings, makes for a much easier assembly.
Not really cheap but it's worth the price, even better when it's on sale.

"Works Great, But It's Runny..." - Product Review by Todd March (Posted on 7/2/08)

Excellent!

Comments: I was really taken aback by this lub at first--it's runny, almost like vegetable oil! I am used to o-ring lubs that are more like Vaseline in texture--thick that you spread on. I must say though, that after lightly oiling this on my ATB's skimmer o-ring (and it spreads like vegetable oil), it works wonderfully. It seems slicker than the heavier greasier silicone lubricants it made me lament for at first... In the end, I'm sold--works better than anything I've ever used in 20 years. Very expensive for this teeny tiny itty bitty tube--but it goes far
