"Very strong magnet"
- Product Review by Leonard Thome

Comments: This was a replacement algae magnet cleaner for me. This is a very strong magnet which helps take any stains or encrusting algae off the glass with ease. The scrubber is also oversized compared to the magnet so that you can get into tight spots and also clean well in the corners of the glass. They even send along replacement pads for when these need to be replaced. This is not the cheapest magnet out there, but this one is well made and meant to last.

"Magnavore 6"

Comments: Just switched from an Algae Free Tiger Shark cleaning magnet to a Magnovore 6. What a difference! The Magnavore takes off what I needed a razor for on the Algae Free. Although I can't speak for the longevity of this product, I can say that I am very impressed so far. I've also used Magfloats in the past and they are junk.

"Great Investment"

Comments: We have a 180 gallon acrylic tank with 3/4" acrylic. We have bought several other magnet cleaners and have had to "preclean" before we used those magnets. We always ended up working way too long and way to hard to get the tank looking good again. The Magnavore works fantastic. I was very reluctant to spend this kind of money on a cleaner. This was the best $100 I have spent in a long time. Easy to use with amazing results. You won't be disappointed.

"Works Great"

Comments: I purchased the 4-ER because the Mag-float cleaner I had been using just wasn't cutting it. These magnets are very strong and hold on tight to my 60 gal. acrylic tank. You do have to be very careful not to pick up any sand or it will cause scratches. I find the cost to be very high but the darn thing works very well.

"Magnavore-6 WOW!!"

Comments: I have been using a Magnavore 4 for quite sometime and now the Mag-6 does an even better job keeping the inside of my acrylic 180 gallon tank clean and beautiful. I can wipe it down about every two days and it sparkles.

I can't think of any other way to keep the inside of the acrylic clean without having to get into the tank.

I love the Magnavore-6.

"Quality at a price"
- Product Review by Larry Britt

Comments: I was not sure if the extra $100 for my M-8 vs the Tiger was worth it. My LFS guy told me to spend the cash with him and get the Tiger. Often regret buying cheaper so I avoided the risk. Guess I will never know, but very happy with the quality of this product. I don't think one could buy a better product. I have 1" acrylic and it works very nicely. Even allows me to switch viewing panes on a 90 degree angle with the 1".

Need to use care not to move it too fast, otherwise, it will get away from you on the inside and then your getting your hand wet since it doesn't float. Didn't see any this size that floated.

"Scratched Glass!!"

Comments: I used the Magnavore 2er on my 125 for a couple months, and I noticed that the inside pad was wearing quite a bit, so, I replaced the pads. The brand new pads, straight out of the package, first time used put two huge gashes in the outside of my tank. I tried buffing and polishing the scratches out but they were two deep. It was a great tank, but now it's been reduced to sump duty as the scratches look horrible.

"Acrylic cleaner"
- Product Review by Jeff Stady
(Posted on 9/21/09)

Comments: This is by far the most superior acrylic cleaner I have used. It is well worth the extra money as the adage "you get what you pay for" certainly applies in this case. I have tried 3 other types of cleaners (all indicated they were "acrylic-safe") and NONE of them performed the way this one does. One of the features I like is its ability to clean the round "corners" found in many acrylic tanks.

I would definitely purchase this again... I just wish I had purchased the magnavore before the others that will soon be heading to a landfill.

Comments: It works great. I am using it on a 300 gallon acrylic aquarium that is 1 inch thick. Only thing, I wish it would float. Inside magnet could stand to be a little larger to cover areas past the reachable parts of the face of the aquarium.

"Phenomenal!!!"
- Product Review by Dustin Eby

Comments: I have a 225 gallon acrylic reef tank and the only place i have algae is on the acrylic. I would get these brown spots that were calcified and a bear to scrub them off that it could easily take a couple of hours with the scrub brush. My magnet that I had at the time wasn't helpful at all. So I finally took the plunge and bought the Magnavore and to my surprise, I was able to clean all of the surfaces in the matter of 15 minutes and they looked better than ever. The price was definitely a little hard to swallow, but the time it saved me on its first use already proved its worth in gold. Now I am going to use the scratch kit with the magnet to get rid of some small scratches inside of the tank.

"shark magnet"
- Product Review by Audrey Bialik
(Posted on 1/22/08)
-
Comments: The manager at an aquarium store suggested this magnet to me stating that it was the strongest magnet he had used. After trying it in my reef tanks, I agree. It cleans the tank with one pass over the algae, rather than 2 or 3 times that my other magnets require. If you have weak hands don't put the magnets together, you might not be able to get them apart!

"Good, but bulky magnet cleaner"
- Product Review by Michael Garrett
(Posted on 10/24/07)

Comments: I am using this product to clean my 55g glass reef aquarium. It is definitely a strong magnet cleaner and really gets the job done. The extended reach is excellent for cleaning around trim & the hood. However, the magnet quite large. The external magnet is a little big to be comfortable in my hand, and the internal component is bulkier and thicker than the Magnavore 1 it is replacing. This means all of the live rock must be further away from the glass than previously. Also, if you leave the magnet in the tank continuously like I do, it is more noticeable than the smaller one. Overall, a very good product.

"Great on acrylic"
- Product Review by Paul Rogers

Comments: This is the perfect match for 1" acrylic, just make sure you only move it along the long edge. If you move it vertically/along the short edge, the inner magnet may fall off. I also have the Magnavore 10, which, while strong enough to move in any direction you choose, is also extremely difficult to move at all, even for someone 6'2" who spends a lot of time at the gym.
