Majano Wand Aiptasia & Majano Eliminator Information

The Majano Wand takes a easy approach to removing Majano Anemones from your reef aquarium. It`s so fun and easy you will want Majano Anemones, just so you can destroy them!

The purpose of the Majano Wand is to eliminate Majano Anemones in hobbyist aquariums, as these Anemones are pests. Majano Anemones are pests because they harm fish and coral. Such “pest” Anemones that are inadvertently added to aquariums can multiply very quickly in closed aquarium system.

The Majano Wand does not kill by electrocution, there is never any electricity going into the water. The Majano Wand operates on the principal that when electricity is properly emitted into salt water it produces two gases. One of these gases is hydrogen, which is generated at the stainless steel tip. Hydrogen is the lightest element on earth, which converts into a gas when created, and the gas form of hydrogen is larger than the liquid size of salt water. When the probe of the Majano Wand touches the Majano tissue, it causes the water in the cells of the Majano to turn into hydrogen. These animals are mostly water so the Majano is forced to expand from the inside out at a rapid and drastic scale, which literally disintegrates any living Majano tissue instantly.

The Majano Wand operates on low voltage and will not shock you if your hand, or any part of your body, is in the water. However, care must be taken to ensure safety as the tip of the Majano Wand is sharp.

The entire Majano Wand (including the grey wire) can be submerged in water, but do not get the push button or power adapter wet.

We are proud to write that the Majano Wand was Invented, designed, tested and Manufactured in the USA!

**Please Note:** If the user does not fully kill the aiptasia by eliminating all the tissue on the first attempt, the remaining bits will regrow into another aiptasia.

Specifications

Instructions:
 • 1. Uncoil the wires and plug in the power supply. Carefully, remove the plastic cap on the tip of the Majano Wand.
 • 2.Push the button, as you stick the needle in/out and on/over a Majano. Do Not Hold The Button Down when not touching a Majano.
 • 3. Keep sticking the needle in/out and sliding it across the Majano, as it will only kill the parts of the Majano that touch the needle. After five or six insertions, the anemone should be all white and gooey looking.
 • 4. If you see any tentacles or tissue still alive, just touch them/it with the needle while pushing the button. It is sometimes easier to slide the side of the probe along the Majano rather than stick it.
 • 5. If you do not kill the entire animal it is possible for it to regrow in a short amount of time. White “goo” should float to the top when the Majano is dead, remove this goo. Repeat steps 2 and 3 when needed.
 • 6. Don’t keep the button pushed continuously (we are not talking about a minute or two here, we are talking about a larger scale) as the device does emit some gases into the water. (see chart below) After an hour, you can use it again.
 • 7. When finished, Run/Soak the tip in fresh water for a minute and dry completely.
 • 8. Replace the cap and store in original box for safety.
Caution!
Keep the device away from children and be very careful that you don’t stick anyone.
Remember, the rod is acrylic and very fragile, it can break, don’t bend it.
Always keep the push button and power adapter out of water.
The probe is dulled but still sharp, be careful.
Only use according to the directions.

Majano Wand Aiptasia & Majano Eliminator Reviews

"Majano Wand" - Product Review by Timothy Culp (Posted on 4/4/12)

Excellent!

Comments: First of all they do a great job of providing excellent customer service and very fast shipping. The wand was packaged well and protected from any possibility of damage during shipping. The instructions were clear and precise. The operation is straight forward and easy to handle. Plenty of cord and the overall quality of the item is very good. It does what it is advertised to do....KILLS Aptasia. None of the Aptasia has returned. I still have a few I need to remove, but thats because they are in the rock work and the wand is long and straight...so rock work will have to be removed to access some of these aptasia, I guess thats the drawback...wish it had a plug that allowed you to unplug long wand and you could plug a shorter one in so as to reach harder to get Aptasia. But other than that ..Great product and it works wonderful. Good Job. I am pleased.

"Worth the price tag!" - Product Review by Justin Buturla (Posted on 3/20/12)

Excellent!

Comments: During the early days of my 120 gallon reef I failed to quarantine a piece of LR which had one aiptasia anemone on it. My wife thought it was pretty, and I just assumed I scored a decent looking hitchhiker... That is until small versions started popping up in my other pieces of LR, in my refugium, in my overflows, and in my GFO reactor!

I tried kalk paste, joe's juice and aiptasia-X all with varying degrees of success, but each seemed to make the aiptasia mad enough to reproduce and within days of melting down, I had a few more to deal with.

I finally bit the bullet on the majano wand after watching some videos on youtube and wow! Not only did it melt the anemone down to a white blob, it paralyzed it in the process, preventing it from budding off into new nems. Within a week I had my aiptasia problem completely under control, and within 2 weeks my tank was actually aiptasia FREE. I mean it, I haven't seen a new nem in over 6 months!!

This thing is so precise that I even removed an aiptasia from the center of my colony of blue daisy zoas, without harming a single one!

A little advice from someone with experience: 1) make sure to scrape the entire area where the nem was attached to melt down any and all pieces of foot. 2) Have a turkey baster handy and suck the white/brown blob out quickly after melting down the foot attachment.

This product works as advertised! 100%

"Dissapointed" - Product Review by William Lange (Posted on 3/16/12)

Below Average

Comments: As a matter of being a viable product I am not happy with the Majano Wand due to the simple fact that the Majanos seem to be able to retract faster than the wand can effect or kill them. It also is very Rigid and to get to any areas that are not fully exposed is next to impossible and that's where most of these pests are located in a Reef Tank.
Just didn't work that well in my experiance

"So Much Fun" - Product Review by Phil Schlanger (Posted on 3/9/12)

Excellent!

Comments: What a fun "Toy"...I was finally able to kill all the Xenia that had taken over my frag tank. I also killed over 2 dozen Majanos from my main display (all in 1 day) and none have returned (It has been 3 months). When I get new corals I actually hope for Aiptasia and Majanos so I can get the pleasure of killing them in my QT. FREAKING LOVE THIS THING!!!!

"So Much Fun and Effective!" - Product Review by Philip Schlanger (Posted on 2/29/12)

Excellent!

Comments: I love This thing! I bought one from Paul B Many years ago, and recently purchased a new model. The Wand works great! Kills Majanos with ease, and helps me fight my brown Palys and plain green mushrooms. Aiptasia are much trickier, as they retreat so far into rocks that I cant reach all of them, but I just leave them alone.
