Ocean Nutrition Seaweed Selects Red Marine Algae Small 8g Information

Optimal food source and Color Enhancer for Damselfish, small Angelfish, Sponge Feeders, and other Marine Fish with softer mouth parts. Red Marine algae is a nutritious supplement for all grazing fish, rich in vitamin C, and is 100% digestible.

FEEDING RECOMMENDATION: Tear off a piece of seaweed approximately 2 inches by 3 inches (for the average 55 gallon community tank) and place in the aquarium using any type of "lettuce clip" or attach seaweed to an aquarium rock using a rubber band or other practical technique. (Folding the seaweed piece prior to placement is also recommended.) Allow fish to graze at their leisure. Any large seaweed pieces that break loose and float to the surface should be reattached. Remove any uneaten seaweed after 2 hours.

NUTRITIONAL COMBINATIONS: This product should be used as a supplement to other food sources. We strongly recommend Formula Foods (Formula One, Formula Two, Brine Shrimp Plus, Spirulina Formula, etc.) and Aqua Yums (Bloodworms, Brine Shrimp, Squid, etc.) from Ocean Nutrition.

INGREDIENTS:
100% natural dried seaweeds (marine micro-algae).

GUARANTEED NUTRIONAL ANALYSIS:

Excellent!

Comments: I have used both Ocean Nutrition green and red algae, these are great products. This is main diet for my Naso tang and other tangs and some wrasses enjoy as well. Easy to store at room temperature and last long time.

"Red Marine Algae" - Product Review by Guy Johnson (Posted on 6/24/11)

Great!

Comments: I have purchased and used both the Red Marine and Green Marine Algae. I find both products in excellent shape after shipment, and the sheets are easy to separate and place in my tank. The sheets retain their shape even when saturated, they don't break up easily, so the fish can "graze" at their own speed without the tank getting overly dirty. So, I like the product, and I will order it again.

"Fish Going Nuts!!!" - Product Review by Stuart Guillot (Posted on 4/13/09)
Rating
Excellent!

Comments: I have used the Green, Red & Brown Seaweed and by far my Fish (Yellow Tang, Sailfin Tang, Kole Eye Tang, Hippo Blue Tang, Fox Face Lo, Lawnmower Blenny, and Sleeper Goby) go nuts for the Red over the Green and Brown. Of course I still fed them the green just to mix it up. Please note that the Red Seaweed does smile bad outside of the tank; this is normal and is most likely the reason why they love it so much.

"Good Weed." - Product Review by Michael Fitzgerald (Posted on 4/12/09)

Excellent!

Comments: Great eats for my fish. I have Powder Brown, and Desjardini Tangs which love this stuff. Also my Racoon Butterfly and Papua Toby get in on the feeding action as well. Excellent supplemental food for my tangs. I usually use these Ocean Nutrition seaweeds along with some plain Nori I buy at the grocery store.

"my tang likes it ... I like it" - Product Review by Blake Chinn (Posted on 8/19/08)

Great!

Comments: I am new to the hobby...but my yellow tang is not new to seaweed... I started him on green color seaweed and it took him about 2 weeks to get used to eating it off the clip. I ran out of sheets in the starter pack i bought and decided to try something new... being a lil apprehensive that he would not like it( because it was not green) I talked to the tech support guys and they said the fish doesnt care as long as it is seaweed. I was overwhelmed by the package and the large size of the sheets. Definitely a great value for anybody that likes to feed seaweed. the way my tang eats seaweed i have so much that i wont need to order some for at least 3 or 4 months. Would definitely buy again for sure.

"Red Algae Seaweed 10 shts" - Product Review by John Roberts (Posted on 7/19/08)

Excellent!

Comments: The Ocean Nutrition Red Algae Seaweed 10 sheets is simply the best herbivore food available. use of the product promotes health, color, and a full body. I have used the product for over 10 years and would not use any other similar product. The quantity vs price for the 10 sheets is very generous. I would recommend this product to any one with tangs or herbivors.

"The Best!" - Product Review by Doug Moczulewski (Posted on 4/4/08)

Excellent!

Comments: I feed this along with the green and brown every day, twice a day. My 11" Queen, 6" Empor, 6" Blueface, 3 different triggers, 6 different types of tangs, fox face, gold puffer, Harli Tusk, green bird and lunar wrasse all rapidly consume each sheet I put into the tank! I hardly feed anything else! Excellent product!

"fish love it" - Product Review by Harold Webre (Posted on 1/18/08)

Comments: I alternate between this, the green and the brown. My fish seem to like this one best, and they absolutely tear into it as soon as I put it in the tank. I have a Yellow Tang and Ebili Angel, and I credit these various algae sheets for their color and health. All of my fish like it though, even those who aren't regular algae grazers.

"Ocean Nutrition Seaweeds" - Product Review by Kenneth Pflueger (Posted on 9/20/07)

Excellent!

Comments: I daily feed Ocean Nutrition Seaweeds, green, red and brown to my fish. My Tangs, Angelfish and Moorish Idol all absolutely devour this food, they act as if they cannot get enough of it. All of these fish are thriving and have grown from very small fish to very large fish that are healthy and plump. I am sure this is due in large part to having Ocean Nutrition Seaweeds as part of their regular diet. I have been keeping saltwater fish now for 15 years.
