Accounts Payable Associate
Marine Depot, a fast growing online pet supply company located in Anaheim, CA is currently looking for a high-energy, motivated and meticulous Accounts Payable Associate. The ideal candidate must be a team player, dedicated, detail oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced and high volume working environment. Our main business is selling salt water aquarium equipment along with fish, plants, corals, etc. The environment is low key and casual, and most of the employees maintain aquariums for a hobby, so read on and come join the fun!
Candidate should possess:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of general accounting principles
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Experience with an accounting software program, Great Plains experience is a plus
- Proficiency in: 10-key by touch, MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Associate reports to the Accounting Supervisor
- Participates in the entire accounts payable cycle and ensures work completion at all times
- Responsible for keeping accurate records of invoices, credit memos, check vouchers and other payable documents which must be in accordance to the generally accepted accounting principles. Ensures expense coding, discount computation, voucher preparation and check issuances are accomplished precisely and timely.

- Analyzes and reconciles vendor statement of accounts with our records
- Communicates with vendors to clarify discrepancies on payable documents
- Works closely with other departments including but not limited to purchasing and receiving departments

Entry-Level Web Designer
This position requires a utility player who has great visual communication skills and a strong sense of clean design. You'll be responsible for day-to-day maintenance of web content and maybe assist in our print materials design. We are looking for a combination of strong web design skills, HTML/CSS abilities with great attention to detail. We offer a fun and friendly work environment that fosters growth both personally and professionally. Our Design Team also has the opportunity to work events and participate in online forums.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining site content with html updates.
- Designing and quickly implementing clear, effective web pages.
- Managing several projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
- Responding to a variety of web-related requests from other departments.
- Possibly assist in production of print materials (e.g., catalog, flyers).
The ideal candidate will posses the following:
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, Flash and Photoshop.
- Some experience in web design and maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of design best practices and experience resolving website usability issues.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- BA/BS or equivalent.
