"Great but know the size"
- Product Review by Robert Rueckert
(Posted on 7/10/12)

Comments: These clamps work well especially for a marine environment. The #1 problem is there is very little margin before having to jump up to a larger or smaller clamp therefore you buy all kinds of sizes to cover your needs. They work great!

"1/2" hose clamp"
- Product Review by George Taylor
(Posted on 4/21/11)
-
Comments: The 1/2" clamp will only clamp hoses with a larger wall thickness. The clamp will not be tight on thinner wall tubing. This clamp should be classified as a 9/16" clamp.
The clamp has a very good design but not enough variance in its ultimate clamping size.

"Good Clamps"
- Product Review by Antonio Priester
(Posted on 11/20/10)

Comments: the plastic clamps seem great so far but i felt a little nervous since they didn't seem to clamp down on my return hose from my pump that tight. i would have liked to get one more "click" out of each clamp.

"Not Very Useful"
- Product Review by Ke Edstrom
(Posted on 6/1/10)
-
Comments: The 1/2 inch hose clamps do not fit the 1/2 inch hoses I bought (the clamps are too big). I ended up using some small zip ties instead which work just as well as if the hose clamps had actually fit.

"A little off"
- Product Review by Alex R Soriano
(Posted on 5/5/10)

Comments: Well I purchased these clamps cause I bought some 1" vinyl tubing from them thinking, well get the 1" clamps right? The 1" tubing actually fit my Eheim Compact+5000 which has a 1" connection. So in short the 1" clamps are to big for the tube and the 3/4" clamps are to small for the 3/4" tube.

"crappy"
- Product Review by Dan Roos
(Posted on 3/26/10)

Comments: these among many other brands of hose clamps never seem to be good. these are not made for the 2 little fishies ball connectors, that ones that reduce water flow if ya didn't know. clamped down all the way at 1/2'' is still loose on the fishies ball connector. the ones that came with nextreef reactor are by far the best i have seen after 3 different brand connectors. even after modifying these clamps they don't fit the same are still aren't legit. i think i only had 1 odd sized connector fit properly with out leaking:( imo i would pass on these clamps and look for the white ones not black

"Very good clamps but-"
- Product Review by John Bell
(Posted on 5/24/09)
-
Comments: It would be nice to have some idea of the size range of these clamps. I measured the 3/4 inch clamps at 15/16 in. to 1 1/16 in., and the 1 inch clamps at 1 5/16 in to 1 7/16 in. It will take me another order to get the size I need.

"clamps..."
- Product Review by Michael Rodriguez
(Posted on 4/15/09)

Comments: They definitely get the job done. The only complaint, is that they are a little touchy when putting them on. If you angle them wrong, they will loose their clamp.

"Hose clamps"
- Product Review by David Cassaday
(Posted on 11/19/08)
-
Comments: For some reason all of the hose clamps did not clamp with even pressure around the hose and water leaked in all cases. Also, in looking at the clamp you can see that the overall shape is not round but rather oval. This probably contributes to having an uneven fit around the hose. Unfortunately they did not do the job.

"good but wrong size"
- Product Review by John Pfeiffer
(Posted on 5/20/08)
-
Comments: I have 1/2" OD tubing so ordered the 1/2" clamp. It was too big as it has an ID of just over 1/2" when fully clamped. Marine Depot sent another batch, exactly the same size, too big. Not sure if this is a problem with MD stocking the wrong size or the product itself, but beware.

"clamp review"
- Product Review by Colin Anderson
(Posted on 2/29/08)
-
Comments: Any clamp of this type is vastly superior to a metal hose clamp. They're quite hard to find as well, so finding them is 90% of the battle.

That said:

1. These are made of a softer plastic than were some very rugged white one inchers that I bought locally, they work but they're not the hardest plastic (which would be a good thing)

2. They fit just a bit smaller than did the others I've used. In truth the others were a bit too large and these a bit on the small side. If you're using thick walled tubing or large barbed connectors these will be a bit of a stretch to get a really strong clamp.

Comments: I use at vinyl hose to motor connection. There can be no metal in my systems. Zip ties can not give a dependable seal like these clamps do.

"better than the metal ones"
- Product Review by John Dellamanna
(Posted on 2/17/08)

Comments: The plastic is far superior to the metal, you dont have to worry about rusting, and can easily clamp it closed with your hand ( or gently with a pair of pliers) ..
Buy a few extra.. always good to have them around

"Hose Clamps"
- Product Review by Augie Augenstein
(Posted on 10/16/07)

Comments: I have used the Plastic 3/4 inch hose clamps for years. Love 'em! They open up so you can install one on a hose that is already being used. The design allow one to remove the clamp unlike some others that need to be cut off to remove them. I much prefer these clamps to plastic ties that some may use. I like that you get the choice of white or black. I would like to see some clear ones. The Plastic Clips have held up very well in the Salt water enviroment I use them in! I have never had one break yet. I would like the write ups to clearly state the outside/inside diameter of the hose that each size clip would work on. I do highly recomend them! :)
