Comments: I prefer not to mix chemicals so I simply use this one product for my pond. It works great! I also put a few drops in my decorative fountains and it keeps it clear.

Comments: Before building my own waterfall, I participated in a tour of local water features -- many ponds were green with algae but other's were swimming pool-clear. The owners of the clear waterfalls all used AlgaeFix. After my own waterfall was complete, my new pond turned green sometime in the late Spring. The effect made it look like a real forest pond, but the algae was choking the water plants, and my wife didn't like the effect as well as I did. I followed the directions and after a week, the string algae cleared and fell to the bottom of the pond. A few days later, after I had swept the pond, the water became crystal clear.
<br />
<br />AlgaeFix is expensive, but I haven't found a product that works so decisively. AlgaeFix is safe for fish, but only if you run the waterfall continuously or provide an aerator, as it removes the oxygen from the water. The only other low-impact alternate to using AlgaeFix is to use a UV system.
<br />
<br />I recommend AlgaeFix to easily and reliably clear your algae.

Comments: Great product! Got rid of string algae with only two treatments and will continue with weekly treatements to keep algae under control. GREAT STUFF! And it doesn't bother the other aquatic plants or fish in the pond!
