Comments: I have been using Prodibio Bio-Clean for several months and I am very pleased with this product. I cured a batch of dry rock with this and use it every two weeks with my water change. My tank loves it and it also helped me combat Bryopsis algae as well. I will continue to use this product because it works well in my tank.

"Bio Clean is AWESOME"
- Product Review by Sabrina Kelley

Comments: I love this product. I was a little concerned that I was just tossing money down the drain. I had used the 6 vials in the small package and I didnt really see any difference or improvement so when my next order of 12 came I just didnt use it. I had actually planned on selling it on my reef forum. Then yesterday came and I tested my water and I had nitrite and nitrates so my tank was in trouble here. I figured I didnt have any thing to lose so I dosed with the vials. Next day I tested my water and the nitrites are GONE and nitrates are almost gone. I will never stop using this product for as long as I have a saltwater tank.

"USEFUL ADDITIVE"
- Product Review by Brandon Snow
(Posted on 5/19/11)

Comments: The Prodibio BioClean combination is great IMO. If you don't understand it... basically it is a bacteria and a food FOR that bacteria. Its kind of like dosing vodka and or sugar in your system. After a month or so I actually got RID of cyano in my 7 yr old SPS tank. The corals or fish don't seem to be affected, but the algae growth is less, and everything just seems cleaner. This is one of the easiest bacteria systems to use IMO. It is somewhere between strait dosing and the zeovit stuff (which I've also done and it is REALLY expensive). Overall great product. I would give 5 stars but nothin is really perfect.... is it.

"Works Perfect"
- Product Review by Jon Norris
(Posted on 12/30/10)

Comments: This is an amazing product. When you are able to utilize the natural elements in reef keeping, it makes it that much better. Even if you are just an amateur hobbyist, this product really works. Unless you are a Marine Biologist (I am) you wouldn't be able to "see" it working. It happens on a microscopic level. Micro-bacterium eat the particles that you can't see anyway. You will notice the difference when you take your readings. It lowers the main causes of excess Nitrate and Phosphate in the system. Absolutely perfect!

"Overpriced for what it does"
- Product Review by Pam Heath

Comments: I've been using Prodibio clean in my 29 gallon Biocube for 2 months. As others have said, it's very hard to tell whether it's working or not. I've seen little to no change with the manufacturer recommended dosage of one vial of each type every 15 days for a 30 gallon tank. I'm still doing frequent water changes to keep the nitrates reasonable -- and I don't even have any fish in the tank right now, just a shrimp! That said, I intend to use up the entire box in case it's just very slow to take effect. I might have seen a slight drop in nitrates, but it's iffy.

"Prodibio"
- Product Review by David Beggs
(Posted on 11/7/09)

Comments: Thought Id give it a try. The instructions are unclear, however, there is a ton of info on the web about this product. So far (week 3) I have noticed lots of bubbles on my rocks. And I have noticed a slight decline in the muck on top of my sand bed. Im assuming the Bacteria strands are doing there job- I did have to shut down my skimmer for about an hour after each dose (ASM G3, meshed). It would go crazy- I have just been dosing by dropping the stuff straigt in. I have heard to mix it first with some aquarium water, and it might prevent your skimmer from over-reacting.

So far So good-

"Impressed"
- Product Review by Michael Hooker
(Posted on 7/23/09)
-
Comments: I had persistent problems with elevated nitrite and nitrate levels in a newly established RED SEA MAX. The levels were never "toxic" but I could never get them as low as I wished. Besides all of the typical "tank maintenance", I tried all of the nitrifying bacteria products I could find--I belive I tried 4 total. After adding the two ampules of Bio-clean (one bacteria, one supplements), nitrate levels dropped to nearly undetectable (0.01) and nitrates to 5. I was so surprissed I actually confirmed the results with another new test kit! My suspicion is that the Bio Trace(supplement) part of the kit was key and that once the bacteria had the trace elements needed they flourished.

"seems to be working"
- Product Review by Steve Whitman
(Posted on 3/19/09)
-
Comments: I have a 40 gallon mixed reef that has been up and running for about two years now. The tank is predominently SPS with a couple of LPS (bubble and finger). I have had a slight outbreak of bryopsis which appeared on a new piece of tonga that I cured and placed into the tank 2 months ago. I have been able to keep it under control with pruning and the help of my mighty lettuce nudi but it will not completely die off. I am on my second week of prodibio BIO CLEAN and it is funny because I actually think this stuff is working! I did not notice anything the first 3 days but on the fourth day I noticed the bryopsis becoming brown and translucent. This has never happened before using this product. It is coming to the end of week two and the bryopsis is starting to fall off the rocks a little at a time (WOW).
I was thinking of trying the fauna marine Ultra algae x but it is very risky because of the dosing and my water perameters did'nt warrent such a drastic measure. The jury is still out on this but it definately seems to be working.

"prodibio bio clean saltwater"
- Product Review by Tina Taylor
(Posted on 1/5/09)

Comments: After 2 days noticed the skim water in protein skimmer was about 3x darker. Less film on water surface, clearer water, algae on rocks finally reducing. Tank looks alot better. Had been doing weekly water changes, nitrates 10 after a water change & creeping back to 20 at weeks end. Now my nitrates are at a steady 2.5 & I didn't have to do a water change this week ! Will keep this product in my supply cabinet. love it!

"Skeptical?"
- Product Review by Lee Mcmullin
(Posted on 12/30/08)

Comments: Skeptical? I was. There is simply too much snake oil in this hobby that has no self policing agency or standards upon which you can rely. I gambled after a member of the staff suggested I give it try. It is not a magic bullet, but it does work. I tried the BioReef which has a split of BioDigest and BioOptim with Strontium and Iodine. About halfway through the kit there was a noticable reduction in algea. For those who do not understand that chemistry it is beyond this message. But I suggest the BioClean product over the BioReef unless you need the added elements. Every indication points to this being a quality product. You do have to get used to breaking glass ampules as the product is hemetically sealed - another sign of a quality product the same as how many medications are packaged.

"Prodbio Bio Clean"
- Product Review by Carl Green
(Posted on 8/13/08)
-
Comments: I used this product for several months on my 75 gal mixed reef with no noticeable change. Once I changed that system over to a 150 gal PO4 and NO3 were undetectable but still had hair algae growing on the sand bed. I wanted to try this product one more time. (2 vials of bioptim and 1 vial of bio digest) This time I used at night, turned off the skimmer, ozone gen, and UV sterilizer until the morning. That was the ticket to success; orp increased sand bed now has very little growth of algae, and very little algae returned on the glass and snails. After several days I noticed some dark corals starting to regain true color. Just ordered my second shipment and plan on continue using this product.

"Great stuff"
- Product Review by Andras Kohl
(Posted on 4/17/08)
-
Comments: I was having cyano, hair and turf algae problems, yet my phosphates and nitrates were zero. I tried phosphate remover, carbon, skimming and none could stop the spread. The algae was able to outcompete my skimmer and my skimmer produced very little skimmate. Now that I use prodibio the water is VERY clear, my skimmer is pulling out MUCH more skimmate and my algae is showing signs of dying off. It didn't happen overnight and it might take some tinkering of the dosage depending on your bioload, but it works.

"Not magic bullet"
- Product Review by Moon Jee
(Posted on 2/7/08)
-
Comments: I bought this based on the reviews (people were saying its the end all cure all) with a little skepticism... I dosed every week after weekly 20% water changes. The algae did get weaker, but after about 1 1/2 months of use, I still had a similar amount of algae (they just looked weaker). Seemed like a good product but don't expect it to be the miracle cure.

"A+ for Bio Clean"
- Product Review by Brandon Coggins
(Posted on 11/29/07)
-
Comments: Prodibio Bio Clean is a great combination product consisting of Bio Digest and Bioptim in the same package. After running my SPS tank on this system for 12 weeks, my water is clearer and the corals have bright vibrant colors. One thing not mentioned in the prodibio instructions is to keep your your alkalinity between 6-8 dkh. If you stray outside these parameters you may experience tissue necrosis and burnt tips on SPS corals. Other than having to keep a close eye on dkh, this is a great product.

Comments: great product that really works... my only thing is that they could package a little differently and set it up in different quantities... ie: the bioptim is only good for 200 litres per ampoule whereas the biodigest is good for 1000 litres... theres 3 of each in the six pack... my tank is 300gals.... do the math and i dont even get one treatment with the bioptim but i get 3 with the biodigest.... go figure

"great product"
- Product Review by James Rishel
(Posted on 8/15/07)

Comments: I had a major algae issue with my 180G marine tank. the rocks were covered in algae - even some of my snails had algae on them. I tried multiple water changes a week, added a refugium, scrubbed, added a phosphate reactor, spent hundreds of dollars on cleaning crews. Nothing seemed to help. After using the bio clean, my tank started cleaning itself. A 10 weeks my tank is almost algae free.
