Introducing the next generation in high capacity waterfall pumps: the PondMaster Pro XP Hy-Drive. The PondMaster Pro is a high capacity pump especially designed for large ponds and multiple-tank aquariums. It combines two highly beneficial technologies: direct drive and magnetic, providing an energy-efficient and low maintenance water pumping source that is exceptionally quiet during operation. The PondMaster Pro XP Hy-Drive from Pet Store requires low wattage yet boasts such power to drive even a large skimmer, pump huge tanks and create attractive and dynamic waterfalls.

Since the PondMaster Pro XP Hy-Drive Pump uses no oil, it is guaranteed safe for fishes and other water inhabitants. It features a clog-resistant screen that reduces the need for frequent cleaning and maintenance. The PondMaster Pro can be used as an inline pumping source located outside the water or fully-submerged underwater.

Aside from its heavy duty industrial grade plastic enclosure, the PondMaster Pro XP Hy-Drive Pump also comes with an integrated carry handle and molded-in screen. The pump also has a check valve for back-flow monitoring and an extra long power cord.

Comments: Easy to handle. Relatively easy to install (installation issues not of the pumps making). The one issue was that the pump did not come with a check valve, which I feel should have been designed into the existing housing.

Perfect for my setup

Comments: Works perfectly on my 300 gallon freshwater tank, which contains one lunker south american redtail catfish. It is submerged in a 120 gallon sump under the tank and is quieter than the water flowing through the overflow. It doesnt produce much heat, compared to the 432 watt T-5's over the tank. This pump turns my tank over 10 times per hour. I am very satisfied for this application.
